Honest, reliable garage. Russ was the master technician at Ewell Honda for many years. There's not much he doesn't know about modern engines. Not the cheapest of garages, but that just means that they don't need to play silly tricks after luring you in with a cheap estimate. Communication is excellent and work is completed to a high standard. Just what you want from your garage.

We've had these guys looking after several family cars (between my husband and I and the in laws) and they are ALWAYS honest, fair and helpful beyond words. As for the chap with the wipers problem; sounds like he's from that 'certain sector of society' that wants something for nothing. Our experiences with Russel and the crew have always been positive, even when the news is not great, which one expects with less than new vehicles.
They've never undertaken work without advising us if it's a bigger job and due to the integrity of the company and quality of their work, those jobs are few and far between. I for one, cannot recommend this garage highly enough. It can be a minefield for women taking cars to mechanics, but from Pam in the clean and welcoming reception to the team on the shop floor, this is a great example of how it can be done without alienating us. I'll be booking in my car for it's third MOT with them later today as I trust their judgement and their work very highly.

I am very unhappy with the service I received from Mount Garage and I am sure that I was ripped off because it was clear to them that I did not have much mechanical knowledge. I dropped my car off and asked for a quote to have my wipers fixed and catalytic converter replaced. When given the quote I requested for the catalytic converter to not be replaced as the price seemed high to me.
I was told that they had already done some work on it and had ordered parts so I would be charged for labour and for the parts to be sent back. It is obvious that no work should have been done or parts ordered until the quote was accepted by me. The lady refused to listen to my reasoning and insisted that I should just pretend that I am paying the 63 for the wipers rather than the work on the cat.
In the end I walked out having paid 63 for a new wiper fuse because I did not have the time or energy to argue. Avoid at all costs because they will rip you off. _______________________________________________________ In response to the reply below, I would like to point out the misleading spin that been placed on the events. It is made to sound like I had casually requested for the catalytic converter to be replaced, when I had simply asked for a quote before deciding.
If the process of giving me the quote was going to incur 60 in labour then I should obviously have been told that. The fact that they had ordered parts and that I was told part of the total price paid was the cost of sending those parts back has been ignored in the reply. Also ignored is the fact that the lady very clearly told me after ignoring my rational reasoning that if I wasn't happy then I should just pretend that I the cost of fixing the wipers was 63 instead.
