Bought a car from Imperials in December 2023 – A 2021 Range Rover Velar. The experience since has been as bad as many others have suggested online. Firstly, the car had 10 faults which were diagnosed by our local Main Dealer shortly after purchasing – Within about 350 miles, in fact. Some of these fault codes had already been cleared/deleted, but not repaired, when Imperials had the car serviced/inspected in October 2023. My local Land Rover dealer confirmed this to be the case and provided me with the evidence. Secondly, there were items of paintwork which needed attention before we agreed to buy the car. This paintwork was finished to a poor standard – There was overspray on several panels, the paintwork has fallen flat since, and they didn’t bother to mask over the rear reflector – They just sprayed right over the top of it! I’ve attempted to arrange for this to be rectified since, but I was hoping to reach an agreement on the third issue first… The alloy wheels fitted to the vehicle were cheap, Chinese replicas. The advert used the same alloy wheel style name as Land Rover do and the centre caps displayed the Range Rover logo and so I had no reason to believe the wheels were not genuine parts. However, during mediation, Imperials still insisted that they were completely transparent about the wheels being replicas – Despite never once mentioning the word replica! Either in person or by email. They have since offered to exchange the wheels for others which they have “on the shelf” but couldn’t guarantee any of those wheels would be genuine either! They obviously make a habit of fitting replica wheels to their cars and perhaps selling the original/OEM wheels separately. That would explain why the 2 of the wheels were cracked and 1 was buckled when we bought the car. When raising a complaint regarding these issues, the Salesperson, and the Managing Director, both found it amusing, sending emojis to each other by email whilst copying me in. Avoid at all costs unless you have similarly low standards. And avoid purchasing from Jake, especially – Or just prey that you never have to have any contact with them once they have taken your money! Complete wide boys. I’m not the first person that’s taken them to court and I’m sure I won’t be the last.

Independent garage selling top-end, three+ year old exotica and serious sports and luxury cars. Cars appear to be well-maintained, prime examples of their type, not high-mileage end of life stuff. Emerson Park site cramped to view vehicles, but a welcoming team who do not hard-sell, which is good. Also offered a no pressure test drive; again, a good sign. Remains to be seen if they offer competitive deals, but with the kinds of cars they sell, I assume most customers won't be haggling too much in the margins?

Excellent experience selling my porsche Macan. Mason was very helpful and went the extra mile to make it a stress free experience. I will definitely be using this company again.

Review for Imperials Chelmsford showroom. On the whole I was happy with my purchase of a 2019 Range Rover Sports. A good service from Kevin the sales gentleman that took me through the process of the purchase which included a trade in of my old (sad to see it go) 13 year old V8 Range. I was offered a trade in price as long as there were no serious defects with the car notably "write off's" or "serious mechanical faults" which i thought was fair enough as i owned the RR from new so i knew that there was nothing wrong with the car.or at least i thought so.

However when it came to the day of sale/handover my old RR was taken for a spin in order to prove that there were no real mechanical issues & it was found to have an issue with the engine reducing speed on kick down over 70MPH to 45 MPH.a safety feature apparently.it was a shock to me but was a genuine issue as i sat next to Kevin as a passenger in my car whilst this occurred.

So long story short I was asked to pay EXTRA as a holding sum until the cost to identify & repair this issue was rectified. An extra refundable 2k which i paid. I was told by Kevin that the funds/part funds would be returned to me IF their was any change out of the mechanical solution which i later found out that there was not. Bottom line is that i was given a value for my trade in but as there was a fault with the car which i was not aware of it cost me extra money overall.

So the moral of my Novel to new prospective purchasers is.if you are going to use your old car as a trade in & are given a figure.get the car checked out by Imperial in the 1st place so you & your finances dont get a shock on the day of reckoning. Final Note. This was NOT Imperials cars fault however it would have been sensible at the time of them offering the trade in price to take it out on a 5 minute run to check it out otherwise once you've committed your finances to Imperials ie deposits, finance otions etc.its too late Thanks Kim

Recently purchased a vehicle from imperials in horn-church from the initial call to receiving a car Daniel constantly kept in touch and was never too busy to answer my questions & the finance guy Mem such a humble man and sorted all documents in less then a day. fantastic service all round. plus they offered me the best part exchange value as compared to market. Will be coming back again soon.

There is something that family owned business bring to the table that other businesses can't. Imperials has history with the experience and knowledge that come from a family that have made this their livelihood. Good, friendly service. Easy to locate. I took my vehicle to sell there, although an issue arose (completely unavoidable) they took the time do a thorough check and explain the process. Would highly recommend.

Good cars good staff we had Mason deal with us when we bought our car everything was smooth and easy and we haven't had any problems with our new car. Other cars we have bought in the pass from other dealers always seem to have some hidden horrors so glad that we seem to have found a car garage we can trust.

We knew the car we wanted and Imperials had the spec we were looking for, low mileage and at a price in our budget. Sorting out the finance was extremely easy, Memet handled everything. No fuss or hassle, really easy. Hats off to Mason and Memet, the whole process was extremely easy. Highly recommend Imperials, there are a few other dealers in Essex that we saw before but these guys made things very easy. All well and great at first with the part exchange and car purchase from them. But 2 weeks later they called and said my old car was not worth as much as we agreed and that I had to pay more amount of money after the purchase.

I found the service I received was excellent from the enquiry to the hand over. The car was in exceptional condition and cleaned to a very high standard. although the car was second hand, the staff treated me with a 1st class experience, so much so I am now buying my wife's car from them. Hard to find a dealership like this, I am so pleased I did. Well done men.

Brilliant service and prompt communication from my initial contact regards a BMW M4 via email, purchased blind and almost 3 hours travelling which I purchased some three days after my email. Both Kevin and Mason were a pleasure to finally meet and deal with. The whole experience wasn't hurried or harrasesd, and we were treated exceptionally well. And the most important bit of all the car, this was better than described in everyway. Definately would recommend Imperials to anyone wishing to purchase there dream car.
