The Cordwallis Group proudly added another site in 2006 based in Reading giving the 4 branches they still proudly run to this day.

Damaged exhaust sensors during a Cam belt service - denied liability It started when we accepted a special offer for a cambelt/water pump service. When I went to pick the van up after the service the dashboard was full of warning lamps, unfortunately the technicians had all gone home. After being talked through the "reset" procedure (following an ECU flash) a couple of faults kept coming back. VW looked again and said two exhaust sensors had failed (based purely on the POXXX codes).

Given the van had worked flawless since new I wanted to know why this amazing coincidence had occurred. Cordwallis wanted 500 for the remedial works to correct the fault. We said they must have damaged them during the cambelt change, they said not possible. I measured both cold and hot resistances and found they were correct, even wiggled the wires. perfect. Realising my skills and tools were unable to dig any deeper I employed the services of a professional auto-electrician. Using dynamic data he showed me that during engine running conditions both sensors would return open circuit responses on at specific rpm.

At certain frequencies the cables broke down and gave open circuit codes. Eventually this was traced to them being over stretched when VW dropped one side of the engine, to access the cam belt. I spoke to a mechanic from Cordwallis who confirmed that the offside is dropped to allow easy access to the Cambelt area. The Auto electrician showed the original VW cable ties were still in place and they had not be released prior to the half engine drop. Replacing both sensors (one at a time) solved the issue. Discussing with both the workshop manager and the dealer manger they denied liability.

They would not allow the actual mechanic to talk to us directly. Consequently they have missed out on two new van sales and all future servicing. A note to VW I will not buy another vehicle from you until this dealership has lost the franchise. If I wasn't so busy I would have taken this to court.

I've used this dealership since 2002 buying four new vehicles and had had them serviced with Heathrow throughout the time I've owned them. The attention, care and professional service has always exceeded my expectations. Recently both David and Zee have left the service department both of whom were always helpful and a real credit to the dealership.

The van was serviced this week my new contact Fasih confirmed my appointment by email, text and phoned the day prior to check everything is fine. Very professional greeting when I brought the van in went over the service works you would not know this is Fasih's first week! From first impressions Cordwallis have found another excellent Service coordinator his enthusiasm, helpfulness and general great attitude underlines why I've remained a customer of 20 years. Much deserved five stars

VW Transporter 6.1 Recall Cordwallis was my local VW van centre. I contacted them they booked my van in for recall fix. Staff were great. I got a similar courtesy van to use during my van repair. They kept me up to date with repair. They also sorted a fault on the van that had nothing to do with the recall. Very happy with the service and will definitely use them again.

The staff were absolutely perfect! The atmosphere was very relaxed, laid back professional and great! Even though I was a complete stranger, they made you feel very included, accepted and welcome! You would carry their impeccable professionalism and work place excellence into your own job regardless if you were working for them or not! They inspired you to be absolutely perfect as they are!
