Simon Shield has been trading in cars for over 30 years. Simon started life as a sales man for main dealers in and around East Anglia. In 1996 he started his own business from a car site in Suffolk, which he maintains today. In 2001, Simon Shield Cars became a limited company and has been trading successfully before and ever since. Simon has a wealth of knowledge that can help you with the purchase of your next car. Caroline, his wife, joined the company in 2001 and works alongside Simon.All the cars that you see on the forecourt or on the website, have been handpicked by Simon. All cars are HPI'd and checked on arrival, along with any mechanical work that needs to be carried out. Base Garage, an indepedent workshop, work on our cars. They are on the same site.

Welcome to Simon Shield Cars Ltd, a family run business that has been in the used car industry since 1996. Simon and Caroline can help you with every aspect of your secondhand vehicle purchase: finance, warranty and part exchange prices. We work hard to make sure we understand our customers and their needs, ensuring we offer an honest and fair service for everyone who visits us in person or online. All our used cars come with an Experian clear certificate and the majority with a comprehensive 3 month warranty.
Simon's passion for cars started when he was a small boy, helping look after the family Riley. Simon's Dad and uncle built a car during the 1950's, so it seems it was in the bloodline already. Simon learnt to drive in a Triumph Herald and worked for local main dealers which helped fuel the car love: selling Talbot, Fiat, Peugeot, Toyota, BMW, and Mitsubishi.

I recently bought an Audi A1 from Simon Shield Cars. The car is absolutely stunning; arrow grey, S Line, black edition and in immaculate condition due to Simon's attention to detail and pride in the cars which he sells. I could not have been more satisfied with the excellent service I received, Simon instilled me with confidence and was honest throughout. I recently brought a absolutely stunning Audi A5 from Simon Shields cars and haven't stop grinning since yesterday and even struggled to sleep last night cause all I wanted to be doing is crusing. I've never met a such a honest genuine guy who went above and beyond to get us this car. Simon was very patient with us through the process and never put any pressure on us especially having recently moved getting proofs with the new address was difficult and we stressed that we would lose the car. Most of the testimonials on here are from recent buyers. Anyone with any experience of sales knows that while all positive feedback is good, what you really want is someone who's had their car a while to tell you how it's doing now. I bought a car from Simon years ago. I'm a nervous buyer but Simon didn't show his frustration with me - in fact he very carefully helped with every single element of the sale.
Even took my car in part ex. I don't want to jinx it but bar the standard maintenance, the car has run absolutely faultlessly now for 30,000 miles. It get treated very badly by me and my feral son, but it has been more than up to the task. Simon came recommended by a friend who works in the trade so I was hopeful I'd get a good price, a good trade in and a good car. I got all three. I'm looking to replace the car in the next year or so and will definitely buy from them again.

On arrival simon made us feel very welcome. First time buying a newer car and he went through every detail. Nothing was too much trouble. Simon is very knowledgeable and professional. A really nice honest guy. Love that fact we could view the car we was interested in through a video and not just photo's. Great touch. Would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend buying a car from Simon. I was looking for a new car and he really went over and beyond to find the right car for me and at the right price. There was no pressure to buy either. Simon did all the leg work and his years of experience in the car industry made me very comfortable knowing I was driving away in a quality car. I've known Simon and Caroline for a number of years, but never had the opportunity to use their services. When my elderly parents needed to sell their car, I didn't even think about going anywhere else. From the first minute I contacted them, Simon and Caroline were helpful, friendly and proactive. We quickly set up a meeting and when they arrived, they couldn't have been more lovely. Simon was incredibly thorough and honest about all our options.
Those three little words - used car salesman - can strike fear into the hearts of those purchasing or selling vehicles, but Simon is to car sales what Michael Buble is to music. Everything was sorted quickly and efficiently, and everyone was happy. My parents are relieved, I am delighted to have one less thing to do before Christmas and hopefully Simon and Caroline will benefit from having another car on the forecourt. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Dealing with them was an absolute pleasure. They are delightful people who know exactly what they're doing.

Simon was extremely helpful and made the whole process of buying and part exchanging a car a very easy and straightforward process. At no point did we feel under pressure to buy and he even encouraged us to also look at another car elsewhere in order for us to feel happy we had a good deal buying from him. We are very happy with our purchase and would have no hesitation in buying from Simon again in the future!
