Established in 2007, SellCar is one of the longest established online vehicle purchasing companies in the UK. We have seen year on year growth every year since we commenced trading and continue to have one of the best, if not the best, reputations in the sector. We do not profess to be the biggest or the fastest growing, as these are not our aims.
The entire SellCar process is aimed at eliminating hassle for our customers. Ultimately, as we are coming to you and paying to do so, neither party can afford wasted trips due to misleading online valuations. As no two used cars are the same, every enquiry is looked at on an individual basis to ensure that correct and detailed information is obtained to enable accurate and genuine valuations. Remember that we buy any car, and if you have a specific make of car to sell you can find all car makes here.
The SellCar process is aimed at making life easier for you. We quote free accurate prices; we then come to you to inspect and collect your car and fast payment is always cleared in your account before we leave. Just read what our customers have to say about selling cars to us in our customer reviews section!
With literally hundreds upon hundreds of delighted customers, it's clear that there is genuine depth to our promotion of high levels of customer service. I was given a superb service by all your team. Very fair, and very understanding of my situation, will definitely recommend super easy and we all went away happy.

The 2 stars are for the speed and how straightforward booking my car was. The other three are missing due to the lack of post visit feedback. I had my final 4 offers on the table for my car, all very similar, up to 500 more from a similar site and 150 less from 2 nationwide car dealerships. I stayed with these because they were booked in on a Monday morning and I hate cancelling.
After the appraisal I was informed that the car was in the 'exact condition you'd expect for a car that only a year old' then asked what price I'm looking for. Surprisingly, the price I was looking for was the price quoted on the website. I had to leave 50 minutes after the valuer arrived which was 20 minutes after he'd finished the pictures and walk around.
I was told that it's not normal to leave at that point but everything can be done over email anyway. (I have all of this very clearly recorded on my ring doorbell). I received an email shortly after stating that "Since we have not been able to proceed with the sale of your vehicle, your enquiry has now been closed." As I'd not been told this I called Mark and was informed that it was an automated email and he or the valuer would get back to me.
After nobody got back to me I called again where I was again asked what I was looking to achieve, I reiterated the value online and Mark said that he needed to talk to the valuer again but he knows that before the meeting he was looking at 2,300 lower. I have (again, recorded) the valuer stating that the resale value of the car from his research was 600 more than they'd appraised online when he was at my house and at no point was the value of 2,300 lower even whispered.
I am still yet to hear back from either the valuer or Mark about my car. A straight forward 'no' or an offer would have been more than sufficient. I ended up calling a dealership who were happy for me to drive the car to them, put on the parking brake, switch off the ignition and throw them the keys for 150 less than the Online SellCar offer (2,150 more than the murmured 'maybe' offer).
I'm happy for you to dispute any part of this review as I have evidence to back up every aspect with the exception of the telephone calls to Mark. All in all, the system of a 'quick auction' sounds romantic but without any kind of feedback or a realistic valuing system, it's all nonsense. A car doesn't lose 9% of it's value from a Friday evening to a Monday morning so either this one time the system didn't work, if so, own it, apologise and admit that it didn't, or like many other reviews, your appraisals online are fiercely optimistic in the hope of a cheap foot in the door and the system needs reviewing to not waste people's time. Thank you, Scott Evans.

After looking online for ways to sell my car I've found SellCar.co.uk and contact them. 24 hours later I had my car appraisal and an offer that suited me and my needs. 100% recommend that you contact them when you thinking of selling your car. A special thank you to Quentin Erasmus for going the extra mile to ensure I was happy with the deal. All the best to the team. Cheers

Came round as agreed to value the vehicle but on arrival they valued the vehicle 1150 under the indicated price. Something to do with the ''market on the day'', and a repair, yes something that was damaged but has been fixed. Oh and a missing parcel shelf. Whilst I appreciate they have a business to run, I can see a lot of people being ripped off if they are in need of the sale and don't have much will in terms of negotiating. Considering these kind of places offer we'll under market value, to then knock another 15% off is frustrating but I guess it's the nature of the beast in this sector.
After a fairly painful negotiation with the rep desperately upping the '' best we can do'' price, we managed to meet in the middle and they collected the car very quickly. On the one hand if you are just needing a quick and stressless sale, I would recommend. On the other hand, be prepared to haggle as they will start low. Clearly you won't achieve anything near a private sale, but this company does visit you at home so it was very convenient and easy. The funds arrived immediately when the guy arrived for collection, the staff were easy to deal with. If money isn't your first priority I'd recommend.

In bed with truspilot to remove any reviews that aren't 5 star Poor experience: Was at the car for 2 hours trying to hammer lower price Supposed to save time but salesman was at the house for 2 hours to appraise. Aggressive sale tactics trying to push a lower price. Took 100 photos of every angle of car and if that wasn't enough then did a video with live commentary. Looked for the tiniest of marks to reduce the offered price.
In the end knocked off almost 10% initial rate because of the faintest of markings. And that price was only after 2 hours of the salesman calling his office and trying to sell the lower price to me In the end I agreed to the price because i couldn't face ever having to do this again with another company. As i suspect they are all pretty similar. if you can trade in a car when buying instead of this, it would be much better for you

Carl has been out to me today. He was very professional and pleasant. He went through everything thoroughly. Everything went through quickly and smoothly and got the best price out of all the companies I made enquiries with. They come out to your home so no inconvenience to the customer. Just make sure you have plenty of coffee on the go for him!

I had a great experience with SellCar. From beginning to end, I was met with friendliness and professionalism. The best part was the overall value receiving a good price for the selling of my car. After shopping around the company offered me the highest price. Don't be put off my the negative google reviews, it's excellent service. You're updated regularly with personalisation. No negatives.

Arranged an appointment for them to view my car. Arrived 15 minutes early, very quick and transparent service. Final price agreed and they collected 48 hours later. Everyone I spoke to throughout the process was helpful and polite. I have never experienced such an easy sale of a car. Highly recommended.

Lady called Sue came to view my car today. She was exceptionally professional, who managed to convinced me why my car does not worth as per the quoted price. Whole process was so exciting and clear, no confusion. Selling a car can't be better than this.
Angela and Mark were also so helpful in this process. Excellent guys, loved it.

STAY AWAY, company wants to maximise its profit at customers expense. Man came to house with a tool to measure paint thickness and claimed my bonnet and front wings where re done when they never where. He made the car sound like it was a cat d write off when actually it was a 4 year old BMW M4 in excellent condition. The valuation they provide online is way off what they offer.
A competitors initial valuation was lower however it was actually offered and was a much fairer more comprehensive experience. Pics 3 weeks old attached of the car in question. They arrived late so I eventually had to leave to go to work but the offer was so low (over 3k less then online offer) I ended any potential negotiating. As you can see the company has responded with its fake nonsense however let me assure you the bodywork on the bonnet and front wings was never done and the tyres were at 5mm which is over the legal limit- they removed my review from trust pilot but I genuinely don't want anyone else to face these con artists.the rear bumper was brand new resprayed by bmw so like new - ultimately would they declare any of it to potential buyers in the future.

Sold my car to Sellcar . Checked it over gave it a short drive. Got me an offer within about an hour. Was not the online value but was explained it hard to give confirmed offer until seeing it. Once a price was agreed I recieved the money in my account with no extra fees to pay. The car was gone within 2 days of contact. Fast, efficient and friendly.

Dan was great, very friendly. Gave an honest valuation, fair price. Note that the auto digital price given initially was quite a way off the price I actually got. I'd checked with a few different companies so knew how the market looked. The price from SellCar was initially the highest (electronic automatic price). The price when Dan arrived wasn't great if I'm honest.
But a few minutes of negotiation and they matched the highest price I'd been able to find. Quick and easy. Would definitely recommend and will use again. Just know what your car is worth, they pay that, don't expect too much!

I have just sold my beautiful R8 Convertible to SellCarco.uk, and I can honestly say that I have never experienced such a pleasant and happy transaction. Dan and Amy were really nice people who made the whole experience really easy and relaxed. I spoke with a couple of people at SellCar.co.uk before the actual sale day, and they were equally polite and decent, calling back at the time agreed and sending emails in a timely manner.
There was no renegotiation or quibbling on price, I was paid exactly what I had been offered when I first enquired. I cannot recommend these guys enough, I have sold my previous cars to companies such as Aston Martin, Bentley and Mercedes and I can honestly say that dealing with SellCar.co.uk was a better experience. I have learnt that selling a car does not have to have a painful experience.
