CON MEN. BEWARE. I bought a 42k Range Rover from these con men. It was 3 years old with low mileage. It blew up after 2 months and they point blank refused to do anything about it. Their warranty doesn't mean anything so do not waste your money with these conmen. Go to a reputable dealer as this lot are the complete opposite. I'm in the process of taking them to court

Alan is brilliant. I found a Honda CRV at a decent price at Richard Hardy using the autotrader application. I spoke to Alan at Richard Hardy who gave me great service. From start to finish Alan showed great knowledge and is a great example of how to be with other people. Alan made the experience at Richard Hardy. Thank you Alan.

I recently bought a used Black Fiat 500 as a surprise for my wife's birthday from the Ashington Branch, and the sales team for the Trainee to the Sales Director could not have been more friendly and accommodating to my requests and requirements (totally changing the 'old' perception of a 'Second-hand Car Salesman' image). When my wife recently called into the Sunderland branch for them to check her windscreen wipers, again the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to buy another car from Richard Hardie or recommend them to friends (we now have 3 Fiats in the family :-))

I moved to Co Durham and chose this garage as the nearest Fiat garage to service my Abarth which is still under warranty. It was dropped off on a Saturday morning and I waited in the area for the 265 service to be completed. Two hours later I returned and was told not only had it been serviced but it had been washed and valeted which would have been lovely.but it hadn't.
At the most it has been jet washed. I was charged for washer liquid physically impossible as I begrudge being charged a couple of quid for this so had filled it right to the brim the previous evening! I had already decided I would not be returning and this was reinforced a week later when I got in my car after home working to find the service required light come on!
This meant a return trip for a five minute reset. My point is if these are the things that I could see that were sloppy and substandard what is the standard of the rest of the service? I have no confidence in the quality of the service and will be looking elsewhere next year.

Huge thanks to Simon but especially Andrew Hancock for my daughter's new Fiat 500 auto, a Sept 2018 model which we picked up last Thurs 15.7.21. Training up from London, it was worth every mile. Andrew has been excellent throughout; friendly, thorough and very professional. All issues dealt with along with all the admin. Fast, seamless and all with a smile. Faultless, in fact. I bought a used Abarth from Richard Hardie and it was agreed that new brake discs would be fitted as part of the deal due to adverse wear. When I collected the car there was vicious brake judder which I put down to bedding in. It got worse and my local garage showed me that Richard Hardie had heavily and badly skimmed the discs to cosmetically hide the wear and had warped the discs in the process.
I called to complain and Ryan Lucas sniggered and refused to pay for the repair. I had had the car for less than a week. I had the repair done locally for 180 and Mr Luke offered a 100 good will gesture to cover their underhand and probably criminal behaviour. I'm not a bad person. I'm nearly 50 years old and had saved a long time to buy a nice car. Richard Hardie has treated me in the most appalling way. Ryan Luke refuses to escalate my concerns and refuses to reimburse me the cost of repairs. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER. THEY WILL CHEAT YOU TOO!

I purchased a brand new Peugeot 207 hdi sportium from Richard Hardie in November 2011. since then I have had continuous problems with fuel filters clogging, then the car goes into limp mode. the dealerships response is to change the fuel filter and send me on my way until it happens again the next time. I can not get past the service receptionist with this problem and she just says it is poor quality fuel in the north east.they are not interested in my problem and just seem to be trying to ease me past the three year warranty period. shame on you Richard Hardie
