I cannot rate Park Gate Sparshatts service centre highly enough. In particular Steve Snow who went above and beyond the normal customer service for me. I had a job carried out by a national chain of Autocentre but unfortunately it wasn't done properly. Despite their reassurances my car became un-driveable. Mr Snow arranged to have my car collected and within half hour had diagnosed the problem.
He went to the trouble of taking photos and completed a full list of the diagnostics and work he carried out. This enabled me to get a full refund from the original Autocentre which I was delighted with.

Tested a second hand car at this dealer and liked it. Salesman seemed desperate for a deal, it being near the end of the month. Asked how much we wanted for our car in PX, we said J1500 (not expecting to get this, but hopeful). Salesman said 'so if I get you J1500 will you buy the car now?' We said we needed to think about it. 'What if I offer you J2000?' Told him we would still need to think about it regardless of his offer, we would not buy there and then. 'What if I offer J2500, plus 6 months tax, will you buy it now?' Told him again that we would have to think about it, but would be back the next day.
Thought it over, went back the next day, test drove the car again, liked it. But when we saw the same salesman, suddenly all the previous day's offers became irrelevant. Apparently he had never actually promised to give us the J2000, or J2500, he had just been saying 'if'. Suddenly the PX value was only J500 and the price of the car went up by J1500.
When I told him he had wasted our time, that we had only come back on the basis of his offers the previous days, he told us we had wasted our own time, that was how car salesmen worked. Basically we were told a pack of lies just to get us back into the showroom. I assume the next step would have been to offer us finance to cover the additional cost. No way. Avoid this company, or be very very careful of accepting their offers at face value.
