The business was formed in 1948 by Ken and Dorothy Gray. Ken had just left the Army where he served as a Sergeant Vehicle Technician. The foundation of Grays Garage was servicing and repairing vehicles for local residents. In 1953 we expanded and took our first franchise, becoming an Austin, Wolseley and Riley main agent.

I am reviewing my original review for the following reasons: About 2 week after purchasing a much shunned 2010 Honda Jazz i-shift semi-automatic for the top price of 7,300, I wanted to sell it back to Grays in order to purchase a much newer model for 10,000 and was offered only 5,500 after a couple hundred miles added. For that money (1,800) I could have rented a brand new car for 2 weeks!

After raising concerns about the cheap poorly reviewed Kenda tyres on the vehicle, I took it to the local Honda garage to have the gearbox oil changed as there was no record of it ever being changed and Grays price for that service was uncompetitive compared to Honda's.,D uring the service Honda did a free health check of the vehicle and reported among other things that the two front tyres were cracked on the sidewalls and one had 2 cuts on the sidewall.

I brought this to the attention of Grays and suggested a contribution of the cost of one tyre but reasonable request was flatly refused on the grounds that the tread depth was within legal limits and the car had passed their in-house mot. I had the tyres removed for inspection by Halfords who confirmed the tyre defects. In the interest of safety, I purchased 4 new Firestone Road Hawk tyres and had them fitted as I value my own life and that of others more than a couple defective cheap tyres.

And Grays still persist in not using some of the profit made on the sale to pay for the replacement of just one of the 2 defective tyres. Previous Review on Purchase: I needed a replacement car and came across a used Honda Jazz with low miles and one previous owner on Grays Garage website. I contacted the dealership first thing on a Monday morning and my call was answered by a pleasant affable young man who identified himself as Mikey.

We booked an appointment for me to view the car and to test drive it the same day. From the word go, Miley exuberated a sense of confidence and trust and after the test drive, Mikey offered to have a silver service and MoT done on the vehicle and to have a few items which I pointed out to be given attention. He did not apply any sort of pressure to convince me to purchase the vehicle but I happily made a deposit payment and we agreed to a delivery date by which the vehicle would be properly prepared for handover with no detail spared.

Throughout the process, Mikey has always been cooperative, helpful and truthful in answering my subsequent telephone calls and emails and on the appointed time and date of delivery his performance was of the highest transparent, efficient, proficient and professional order. I have subsequently discovered that there was no owner's manual included in the various documents I received and I contacted Mikey and he promised to source a copy and send it to me by post.

This is the sort of after-sales service one can come to expect of the salesman and his company. And as a thank you, I have been offered a discount on future MOT, servicing and repairs. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mikey and his Fiat dealership to any customer in the market for a new or used vehicle as they would be in good hands with the gold service I experienced. After buying a fiat which failed to be road worthy, the speedometer had failed and I didn't know what speed I was driving at, I came here and boy did the team make up for it. I bought a fiat from trades person and I thought this would be a safe option as the reviews were good. I was so wrong. I was given 1 sentence stating that the car had been checked as per spec, and the worst thing was that I drove off in a car where the speedometer failed to work on the motorway.

I called Grays in the morning and spoke to Paul, who is the senior engineer. He was super kind even though the doomed car was not from his garage. He explained what options I had and this helped. I also saw a car that I liked on the website. I returned the doomed car and went straight to the garage. Daniel has to be the most laid back, kind, honest sales manager I've met.

I provided my driving licence and off I went to test drive. I wasn't instructed on when to return the car and I didn't feel any pressure. I loved the car. I was waiting for my refund from the doomed car and Daniel was so kind offering to omit the deposit and for me to pay on collection. How kind and rare is this? I collected my car, MOT and service all up to date, with a tank full of fuel. Cleaned and everything was working.

The paperwork was clear and I received 2 pages of checks that Paul had done. I have such gratitude on the way I was treated. I requested Paul to check the car as I could tell I was speaking with someone who cared about the car and its safety, and his experience shows. I'm so in love with my new car and plan to return for its checks! Ps. The puppy member of the team who barked at me when I first came in and sat next to me while Daniel collected the keys, will always be one of my best memories of purchasing this car, so much as I've named my new car Bonnie! 1 year to save for a car. ended up being 12 months of a deserved wait for a fab car service from this team. We've used Grays for over twenty years and have had six cars from them. We were looking for a good used car and found the perfect one at a great price. Mikey was an absolute star, excellent pitch, incredibly informative, very welcoming and friendly too. The process went very smoothly and Mikey showed us all the bells and whistles in the car, which we are really pleased with. Can't recommend them enough.

Terrible service - charged 120 to recharge our a/c and said it had been checked. Drove away and NOT working at all. Called back to ask them to get it sorted and told we couldn't be seen again for 6 weeks.

I have been using Grays for years since I moved to Warwick and they looked after my old Fiat 500 "buttercup" excellently. However, the team excelled themselves when I part ex'd my car for a new Fiat 500e. Mikey was brilliant, he answered all my questions and the process went so smoothly from start to finish; I ordered the car in May, and by August the keys were in my hand. If you're interested in buying a new car, or you need someone to service a current fiat, then I would highly recommend them. The whole team is a delight to deal with.

Excellent service from start to finish - although the finish was delayed due to the pandemic! Mikey was professional, helpful and not pushy (unlike some other car sales people I've come across). Took time to explain every stage to me and then to go through the new Hybrid function - very patiently! Would not hesitate to recommend Grays Garage.

I have a finance deal with my fiat I got from Grays and I love it. Service from start to finish was impeccable! I recently had my first service. Booking over the phone was easy and the gentleman was really nice and helpful. He told me the options and prices with no pushy sales! I chose the cheapest option and when I got my car back they had fully. valeted my car as well as the service wich I hadn't expected so I was thrilled.

Brilliant value for money. They asked it we wanted to wait for the car (45 mins or get it later and they would collect us from our house to take us to collect it) I can't recommend this garage enough!
