Booking in was easy as this was done over the phone. The receptionist was very pleasant and knew who I was. The owner of the garage was friendly and spent a few minutes with me after the service. I could have had a car but opted to spend time in town and the car was ready and waiting for me on my return. Not certain any improvements could have been made.

Bought a car from them had multiple faults so took it back. The courtesy car they gave me wasn't insured. Just took car for MOT failed on brakes but I thought they can't be that bad, as they put new ones on before I bought it, turns out they used bolts that are 15mm too long and press against the back of the disc, so they must of forced the front wheels on. So there is a big indentation in the disc all the way round. So they are reckless and incompetent.

Bought a 63 reg VW UP form Charltons that need a few thing done before collection. These were all carried out, service, new key fob and a new water pump with a 12 month MOT. We received a 3 month/3000 mile warranty with the vehicle which they actually cover themselves other than selling you a 3rd party warranty. After only having the vehicle a week, living 80 miles from Boroughbridge the dreaded water temp light came on. Rang the garage and have to say hand on heart nothing was an issue.
A water pump belt had failed and was over heating within 10mins of the engine running so no chance of getting it back to the garage. Ask for me to get it sorted locally and they will reimburse the costs to me. Repaired and reimbursed all within 2 days. Fantastic communication and true to their word.

Seemed a nice place at first, reviews from other people were good but the service I received wasn't very good. I did a general check of a vehicle I was going to purchase and found various things that the (assuming manager) didn't know of and had no idea how they had happened. When pointing out the issues in the photos, with the wheel issue, I got no response but with the wing mirror issue, the manager said "you're being thorough" which I was quite surprised at considering it was quite an obvious issue which took me all of about 5 minutes to see, but somehow this guy didn't know about it. Not the best impression and definitely not what I was expecting considering the reviews from other people which were mostly/nearly all good.

Bought a lovely steel blue Renault Megane from here over a year ago. The car was immaculate and the car has driven without fault. Had my car serviced here also and they did a brilliant job, booked in for a service and brake fluid to be changed but they brake fluid didn't need changing which was very honest of them. Brilliant service and the staff are amazing, highly recommend to anyone!

Bought my first car from the wonderful gentlemen of Charltons of Boroughbridge in August last year, they were kind, friendly and responsive to my questions and fair when getting down to business of me purchasing 'Horatio' as I've named my little beauty. My car whizzed through the first service and I have no doubt his first MOT with me, I couldn't be happier as it's a great first car.
I would highly recommend coming here to purchase a car. Location is easy to get to but you may miss it as it's a fast road leading to it, parking is available around the area. Showroom is clean and welcoming without being over clinical, seats comfy and plenty to have a nosy at whilst your there - they have a showroom round the back - just ask to go have a look! Don't bother with the massive car dealers as its a waste of time, energy, money and you might buy a death trap. Just do your research :-
