Carters Of Chapeltown Proud to be the only local dealer to offer the full range of services. I've dealt with Carters for many years, including buying cars and having them serviced and repaired. Anything from arranging for my vehicle to be collected, reminding me when my service and M.O.T are due and helping choose the best level of service for me and my vehicle. Nothing is too much trouble.

I always feel comfortable and at ease with all the staff. It is very pleasing to have friendly people dealing with you rather that the usual 'corporate', experience you get from large dealerships.

From the early days in the late 50's and founded by Ken Carter as a shell petrol station, Central garage as it was then named, began trading in used cars, repairs, servicing and petrol sales. Offering renowned and respected levels of service and value for money to all customers, many of whom are still with us today as are their friends and families.
Phil started in 1979 straight from school as a Body and Paintwork Technician, at the same time becoming qualified as a Motor Mechanic, then going onto Sales and Management, eventually taking control in 1992. Interests: Anything but football! Tim started as a valeter in 1990, progressing on to the selling of new/used vehicles in 1996, he then gained promotion in 2003 to Sales Manager.
All our technicians are trained to the highest levels to be able to maintain all makes of cars and light commercial vehicles. We cater for private cars, business users, fleet vehicles (all the major lease companies). FREE wash and vac - As a gesture of our appreciation of your custom - each car serviced will receive a complementory wash & vac.
Winter check - During the winter months it is even more important to check that your vehicle is well maintained and in good running order. ISOFIX (International Standards Organisation FIX) is a new standard for car seat installation that's being adopted by car seat and vehicle manufacturers worldwide.

There are 2 Ford main dealers in Sheffield. I go to Carters even though it is 4 times as far as the other one! Enough said!

Great customer service, lack of facilities during covid makes waiting a bore as only so much to see in Chapeltown but not the garages fault. Staff were friendly & polite and sanitised keys etc

Great customer service and friendly staff. I had an issue with my car so I rang up to see when I could book it in and the car was able to be seen the next day. My car was dropped off and sorted within a couple of hours. Would highly recommend.

They look after my work van mot, service and repairs. Reasonable charges. AA Ford assist has been excellent for me as a self employed trades person need a rapid response.

Just had the Timeing belt, water pump and battery done on my mondeo. Excellent service from carter's from booking the car in to picking it back up. Top quality work and excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

Walked in and explained my problem with the bonnet release on my focus. Staff were very helpful. I was sent a text confirming my appointment. I dropped off my car and within a hour received a call later explaining the what the problem.the work was carried out without any problems, no pushy sales or trying to baffle you with technical jargon unlike some ford dealers.will be using this dealer again

Courtesy cars might not be up to scratch compared with larger dealerships but at least you have the confidence the work will be done. (I've had bad experiences with Evans Halshaw). Friendly personal service.

The sales staff are good, the service side leaves a lot to be desired at this garage. MOT, services and minor repairs are adequate, anything more and you could have problems. The issues range from getting a "repair" done and then 10 minutes later another fault occurring on the drive home, to actively patronising you and not wanting to book in tricky repairs.

If the basic customer service was higher this would be a much better establishment. As it is the way you get treated depends on which member of staff you deals with you. As for the work itself it is VERY hit and miss.
