Although we are well known as Independent Volvo specialists within the Oxford/Witney area, we also deal with all other makes of cars. Offering a full service from MOT/Repairs Clutch replacement, Head gaskets, wheel bearings, brakes, etc, to selling carefully selected used cars.
Services
Our service department is our own and forms a major part of our business, as we are fully skilled Volvo technicians with vast experience, not only on Volvo cars, but also on all other makes and models. Our staff are hand picked and are also fully skilled. We feel we can offer you a service that is not only personal but highly skillful and professional.
We have made special arrangements with several local MOT stations for our customers whereby there is no charge for a re-test if any remidial work is carried out within 5 working days. The charge for the MOT is the same as taking it direct. So leave your car with us. We will check it and advise you of any required work, carry out the work and present it for the test.
We believe that our customers are very important to us, and we choose our cars very carefully. They are all checked personally by Derek or Tony for previous accident damage, service history, outstanding finance, mileage accuracy and general condition, before being offered for sale. We have access to many other Volvo cars, but because we are limited for space, we buy them to order.

We were highly disappointed with our service and MOT at D&A Autos. Firstly, we were promised a car for the day, which he later backed out of meaning we had to miss a day of work waiting for the car to be fixed. They then didnt inform us of the cost of one of the repairs they did, which was over 300. We also dont believe that they did some of the other work they stated they would do and charged us for. We are certainly never going back here for any car repairs in the future.

100% excellent. This is a wonderfully knowledgeable and trustworthy garage with a fantastic and deserved reputation: if you have a Volvo and you live in or around Oxford, it is only a matter of time till you meet another Volvo-owner who makes sure that you too have discovered, and rely on, D&A Autos. But they are equally good with non-Volvos too. Brilliant service and value for money. After discovering D&A almost ten years ago I have never considered going anywhere else.

24 hours ago I was in desparate need of a garage to source and fit a new pressure sensor for my V50. The car was in limp mode and I needed to tow my caravan back home 150 miles. Despite being obviously busy they ordered the part and fitted it by 10am the following morning. Friendly, helpful and only charged minimal labour.

I would definitely go here again over Johnson's Volvo because the staff were honest, accomodating and far cheaper than the dealer. You do however lose out on the free wash and years breakdown. The only reason for dropping a star is the reception is very drab, untidy and genuinely doesn't look like it's been hoovered or cleaned in multiple years if at all. If there was a bit of a clean and tidy up then I would give a full 5 stars.

I dropped in to D&A this morning out of the blue and Derek was very helpful. I had a few issues I needed advice on and Derek quickly got out his scan tool and plugged it into my car. We discussed the potential problems and I went on my way with a better idea how to resolve an issue. Unfortunately I discovered a new issue in the process and called Derek to ask if he could help.
He invited me down to look under the bonnet of an identical car, and despite arriving just before closing time, he was happy to spend time helping me identify parts and their locations. A really helpful man who does a fine job of proving that not all garages are the same.
