Sold me a car that had been in an accident and was damaged underneath. Were rude to deal with on the phone before I bought the car, should have listened to my gut and avoided. Sent me photos of the car I bought to try and say the car wasn't damaged, wasn't even my car in the photos. They offered to pay half the price of the cost to fix my car which I eventually accepted but only because it was causing me so much stress. Was meant to come with 6 month warranty, no mention of this when fixing issues with the car. Obviously hadn't been mot'd properly either as if it had the damage and bit of headlight would have been noticed. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Very rude, ripped me off as they said i needed new brakes and when they fitted them they snapped off the sensors on the brakes.less than two months later i heard a grinding sound and i had only done about 300 to 400 miles since they did my brakes, so i took my car into a garage i was near at the time (a multi national company) and they showed me the pads which were only replaced a month or so ago and the mechanic said no way they were replaced 2 months ago but probably 12 to 18 months ago and as the sensors were snapped off i now needed new discs which cost me another 500. pounds plus with singlewell's bill was over 600 pounds so now i am 1100 pounds out of pocket when the original bill should only have been 300 pounds!
Also the second bill i had from the national company was a lot cheaper and they had fitted discs! company's like these should be shut down as they are definitely cowboys! not Indians.

I have been a customer of Singlewell service centre for many years. This centre is everything you expect from a well managed local family run business. I currently own a C class Mercedes. My service costs are a fraction of those if I went to a main dealer. Also impressive is that Singlewell motors have kept up with the highly technical equipment and technology which dominate modern motors and maintenance issues.

Drove over 200 miles to view a somewhat rare vehicle. It was as described and I was allowed an unaccompanied and unrestricted test drive (after surrendering my vehicle's keys and driving licence as surety). After hard negotiation, there was still some distance between what I was willing to offer and what SCS was prepared to accept but this was overcome by their willingness to include a tracking check, aircon service, brake pad replacement, new wiper blades and plug replacement in addition to the usual features they provide (service, new MOT, HPI check, 6 month RAC warranty, 12 month RAC breakdown). SCS also handled the VED arrangements.
The purchase price was sent by bank transfer and on the day of handover, SCS arranged to pick me up at the railway station. The handover itself was very slick and professional. Unfortunately, within a few days, warning messages about the battery started appearing and the battery failed completely a week later. Batteries are not covered by the RAC warranty (as is usual with car warranties) but the RAC breakdown policy was immediately used to attend and fit a new battery. SCS were contacted about the problem and an acceptable contribution towards the cost of the new battery was agreed. The cheque for this arrived very promptly.
