John Darke Ltd has been a Ford Retailer Dealer Since 2008. Being a market town dealership we do not have the overheads of the larger Ford Centres. This allows us to charge one of the most competitive labour rates of any dealership in the country. We also offer a different level of service to that of other centres, making the experience as smooth, relaxed and friendly as possible.
John Darke Ltd are fully accredited for Motability offering Ford sales along with Ford and Volvo service, maintenance and repairs. Simply assign your allowance to Motability and you'll get a brand new car every three years. Your allowance covers most of the running costs, so all you have to do is fill your car with fuel.
To be eligible to hire one of our vehicles each insured driver must meet all of the following criteria. Must have not accumulated 9 or more penalty points for motoring convictions in last 3 years. Must provide original means of identification in current address (utility bill, council tax bill or bank statement) dated within the last 3 months. Not be an Entertainer, Non-UK Armed Forces, Student, Sports Personnel; Professional, semi-professional or full-time amateur.

Can't thank the staff at John Darke in service and body shop today for sorting out our car to enable us to continue on our journey to London to see our son's passing out parade. We were hit by a vehicle who took our wing mirror off which we thought couldn't be fixed, but once again they exceeded our expectations and got us sorted! Thank you so much for being amazing

My wife and I recently bought a car from John Darke Ltd, the whole experience was flawless from start to finish, we ordered the car over the phone and it was delivered to our door, the driver John was amazing and really went above and beyond with his handover and there was even a bunch of flowers in the boot. Exceptional service and would highly recommend.

Purchase of car was relatively pain-free. Good service from the sales person. Not so good on dealing with warranty issues though (once they've got your money they're not nearly so amenable). Relatively simple problem (leaking water into light unit - faulty seal). I wasn't really bothered initially as I thought I'd just get them to deal with it during the routine service (which would have still been within the warranty period).
They said they'd need to contact the 'warranty people'. Guess what - not covered. It's a minor niggle overall but it means that I'll be going elsewhere for the service and not buying cars from this dealership in the future.

The service is exemplary at this long-standing (70+ years) business and goes beyond what I'd require to award 5 stars. The cars are immaculate and the staff are highly experienced, but more importantly are good, honest people who won't pressure or rip you off. I've also hired a van from here on 3 occasions (they do car rental too) and found it to be particularly straightforward and professional with high quality vehicles. This place would absolutely be my first port of call when buying a car or renting a vehicle.

What a pleasure to buy from a local family owned dealership rather than the usual soulless multiple that as soon as they have got your money don't give a monkey's. From start to finish Jordan was polite and professional, working extremely hard to get me as good a deal as he could. He offered a really quick turnaround, the car being ready on time and in outstanding condition. All in all, a completely fuss free transaction. Thank you very much.

This is a fantastic dealership. It's a fantastic dealership because it's made up of fantastic people. My dealings were mostly with Alistair who, from the very outset, was polite and attentive (not at all pushy). My purchase was smooth, efficient and professional. The car was prepared to an exceptionally high standard and the flowers were an extra special touch. I would highly recommend John Darke - it was, without doubt, the best car buying experience I have ever had.
