Our experience started well. Unfortunately after spending 13'000 on a Mercedes tipper, my husband drove to France to pick up some of our belongings only to find a limiter had been fitted on the van and we had not been told. A trip that should have been fairly quick was extended due to this. When I spoke to Scott's I was offered no explanation or an apology.
When back from France the van went back to Scott's to have the limiter removed which we were then told as an act of good will they would pay half of. This being 125.00 pounds. We thought 250 pounds to remove the limiter was expensive but we didn't know about theses things and had to agree. After, once my husband was away at work I called the garage that removed the limiter to ask the cost of removal to find it only cost 125.00.
So we paid the entire cost. The doors of the van have rusted. The hand brake was dangerous and we had to have completely replaced after only 18 months. I couldn't and wouldn't recommend Scott's. I feel we were duped in the first place and then I feel we were robbed over the limiter removal.
