I bought my Skoda Octavia MKIII from Nigel in November 2020. I've waited this time to post a review because I wanted to give a longer-term review of the vehicle purchased. Firstly, Nigel was great in getting everything surrounding the sale in place during the tough pre-Christmas lockdown. He operated to a high degree of professionalism and clearly took pride in his work.

Not only did he deliver the vehicle to me to inspect and test drive but he drove it bright and early to an independent mechanic, that I had arranged to look over the vehicle. I found it hard to get finance for the vehicle on my own simply because I had no previous borrowing history. Nigel managed to arrange finance through a partner organisation when all other avenues seemed exhausted.

The vehicle itself came in great condition with full Skoda service history and a very reasonable price to boot. Though I have only put 3,000 miles on the clock this year, it has been a pleasure to drive. It had its first Skoda service in my hands today and came out with flying colours. Here's hoping to a good many more years of motoring. Overall, I found SSM to be a professional and quality company that took real pride in their work and the vehicles they sold.

Dreadful witnessed by owners comments I asked how many owners. Told was 3. Logbook arrived I was 5th owner. Full service promised. I paid for oil and filter fuel filter also.needed 4 new tryes less than 2 weeks after MOT. Never ever will use or recommend them. Nichols take heed and learn to be respectful. Also be honest.

Stanley Street motors. Whot a fantastic place. Fantastic car. Fantastic service. Even when I changed things buy not part exchange my old car. I work in the motor trade I wish more places could be like this. Your a credit to the trade. I will be sending pepole to you. And if I ever are looking for another car I won't hesitate to come back. Partner brought me a car around seven months ago and the car has already started to go wrong. Was told when we first rang up that things do go wrong with cars after a period of time but only done just over 1000 miles due to lockdown so barely used the car. Was told to take it in wasn't instructed where so took it to sales to be then told to take it round the corner and down the road to a garage so dropped it there so I thought for then my partner to get a phone call as it was at the wrong garage but they had already looked at it and needs a new window washer stalk was quoted 160 and had to pay 36 for them to look at it.

To me something like that shouldn't go wrong after doing 1000 miles in the car as it's not something you use all the time either. Would not recommend and will not be buying from here in future wish I had shopped around

My wife recently purchased a used vehicle from Stanley Street motors, since acquiring the vehicle there have been a couple of minor issues with the vehicle. Each time she has returned the vehicle to Stanley street motors, every issue has been dealt with without question. We, feel Nigel and his team have gone above and beyond to accommodate, we would not hesitate to buy from them again. Absolutely brilliant buying experience. Nothing was too much for the team at Stanley Street, not only was the buying experience seamless, but the administrative side was completely stress free. The motor itself is in immaculate condition, and has been serviced, MOT'd, and valeted prior to collection. I would recommend Stanley Street Motors to anyone who wants to buy a quality used motor, with a personal buying experience. Outstanding service throughout my interaction with the team at Stanley Street Motors. I was able to test drive immediately upon arrival and discuss details with Nigel, who was very helpful and honest. He and Jo arranged everything quickly and did little jobs on the car I requested as promised, as well as a fresh MOT and full service. I brought a car from here on finance in November/December time. I brought it on finance because i thought it would be better than buying a cheap trash car. Within the first 2 months I had something wrong with the front right wheel which I took back and got fixed. HOWEVER within the 3rd/4th month I had an "ENGINE MAlFUNCTION SERVICE NOW" light come up.

I took the car back to the garage TWICE for a diagnostics test. TWICE they told me "there's nothing coming up on our system, it's showing nothings wrong with it" they then took it to a different garage for them to have a look at it. they then said the exact same thing, "there's nothing wrong with this car nothings coming up" So I took it to a different garage and within 2 minutes of looking at it they told me I needed a new throttle.

How can another garage pick up a fault so quick yet Stanley street motors couldn't pick up anything? I phoned them numerous times about the issue, yet their reply "sorry it's not in warranty anymore even though I reported the issue when it was in warranty and they had to look at it so many times before I took it elsewhere. i had to pay a 450 bill to get the throttle changed to get my car fixed! Did not expect these issues in so little time!

How can they test it twice, take it to another garage and look for the 3rd time and Tell me there's nothing wrong with it, yet another garage finds the fault within minutes? Funny that.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. I have been buying cars from Stanley street motors since I was 20. Now 54. In fact since 2001 I have not purchased a car from any where else. First class service from start to finish. After sales and customer service are also first class. Nothing is too much trouble for Nigel and his team. Only once things were not to my requirements, this was corrected immediately.

The fact that this garage has been trading in the town for as long as it has speaks volumes. I Recommend Stanley street motors without hesitation and will definitely buy my next motor from them.

I cannot praise Nigel and the team enough. This has been the best car buying experience I have ever had. Nothing was too much trouble and everything promised was completed. Would highly recommend and will be back in the future.
