The Wilcox company was established in 1929, as a garage servicing and selling motor cars. In 1939 they were appointed Austin dealers, and as time progressed they held a franchise with the BMC, BL and MG Rover organisations. In 2004 they became Main Dealers for Daihatsu, and in January 2007 they were appointed Main Dealers for Citroen Cars and Light Commercial vehicles. The company is now managed by the third generation of the Wilcox family.

Lovely staff. Ladyon reception very helpful & kind. Nothing was too much trouble. Put an order in for Mg hs ultimate with Clive super helpful. Like old fashioned dealers for going beyond but with up to date tech. Amazingly comfy car would have gone to mg Patchway if they bothered to callback. Clive called back as soon as his customer left & made sure we were happy. Vauxhall could take notes.

A long expensive and very unpleasant experience, resulting in the dealership having to buy back the Citroen Crew van back. There mechanics were unable to stop it form permanently smoking out of the exhaust, despite them having it back twice and for more than 30 days on the second occasion, the third time the issue re-occurred was the last and I asked for a full refund.
They agreed, but refused to refund me the money for a tow bar I had them fit when the van was in for the second time with the black smoke issue. Not to mention they had installed the incorrect tow bar, I had to remove the ball section as it interfered with the factory fit parking sensors. I would strongly recommend avoiding AE Wilcox and Son as I now sit with expenses of a tow bar 450.00 roof racks 120.00 and full years insurance paid that they have only refunded 1 fifth of and charged me for cancelling. Along with the constant emails and phone calls I had to make. And now. NO van! Avoid at all costs!

Called up to ask about a car and Tim personally drove to the site to check for us. Answered all our questions politely and Dave even demonstrated which app I would need which was very helpful! Wasn't pushy at all, very patient and friendly the whole time. Would definitely recommend and go back again!
