Bought a Tiguan new in Cardiff. Moved back to Cornwall and had the car serviced and 8t was due for its MOT had service plan taken out at the time with Helston Garages. They didnt MOT it then spent 12 months driving around without an MOT until they sent an annual Device and MOT reminder. Refused to accept any responsibility the manager Tom wouldn't even price match the price of a local MOT.
I won't be buying anything from them and once this service is done we will cancel the contract. To add insult to injury Tom was rude and unhelpful and continually talked over us when we tried to explain. Worst garage experience ever either from main dealer or independent and I have no faith or trust in them to complete work properly or accept responsibility for their mostakes. Met with Andrew on the day we had the service.
The service administrator was polite and professional. As a goodwill gesture Andrew agreed to renew the brake fluid and apologised. There was a breakdown in communication between Volkswagen us and the 2 dealerships after our house move resulting in no MOT. I think this should be a standard check but I was very happy with the attitude of the people we met and our car service on the day from Helston garages.

My experience was amazing. Piran couldn't help me enough and even with my many questions he wasn't deterred from his welcoming attitude. He explained everything but didn't come across as pushy. He made sure that everything was right and what I needed. Iv always gone to another garage even tho iv always had vw's and the customer service was a million times better. I will definitely be getting all my cars from here from now on.

Picked up our new caddy maxi lifel today fantastic service all the way through the process a fantastic team. Special thanks go to Clive who handled our enquiry, order, delivery and handover with expert reassuring service. I will add since taking over the service of my last caddy maxi life when snow's ceased to be a VW dealer I've had nothing but exemplary service from the entire team thank you so much.

Just picked up my new Golf from Helston Garages at Helston and I'm delighted. Piran the salesman has been excellent. I ordered the car in June last year and he has kept me informed throughout. Over the last couple of weeks, once the car arrived at the garage, he updated me regularly and explained what I needed to do and what was happening at the garage.
The collection of the car yesterday was very smooth and it felt special. On arrival the car was covered in a blue VW sheet and a personalised sign was beside it, a nice touch. Piran explained everything in great detail, assisted by Tom from the Service department who was so helpful, explaining the service contract I had purchased and sorting out the VW app on my phone and linking it to the car. These two members of staff obviously know what excellent customer service is, and they are a credit to the company. Many thanks

Outstanding customer service with Nick, Piran and manager Andrew following the purchase of our new car during covid times and restrictions. Thoroughly explained the whole sales process and aftercare warranty. Highly recommend you visit Helston branch if you are thinking about purchasing a new or used car. Friendly, approachable and trustworthy team. Excellent aftersales service.

Terrible experience last year when trying to buy a used volkswagen tiguan. The car I was interested in was unfortunately sold. So I looked and found another one that was at Indian queen's and requested if I could test drive it at helston. The salesman said I will get onto it immediately. After 2 WEEKS of chasing i found out the car was sold the day after i enquired about it.
I got the impression that they had no interest in selling to me. Not to worry though as I had a much better and friendly service at Rowes Honda when buying my CRV which turned out to be an excellent purchase.

"All In" warranty. don't waste your money. Took the car to VW Indian Queens today as the electric handbrake switch has failed. The internal spring on one corner seems to have broken so the button sticks. Of course, according to VW "its not failed, its damaged". There is no visible sign of any damage so when I asked "you mean I have damaged it" I was told that's not what they were saying, but its been damaged so not covered.
How can the internal part of a switch not be covered under the "all In" warranty. Suffice to say I will be cancelling the warranty package as its clearly not worth the paper its written on. They did at least let me know my oil level was low and they could top it up for 18, great seeing as it was serviced there less than 3 months ago and I have barely driven the car since!
