Had to drive a lorry that was just back from its 6 week check with these guys. Noticed the brakes were very squeaky, and under hard breaking, the lorry would veer badly to the right. Reported this to my company's mobile mechanic, who decided to check it himself. He discovered loose U bolts on the back axle, and a 96% brake imbalance! The brakes were so bad he thought his brake testing machine was faulty to begin with!
I've drove lorries in the past that these guys that have just returned from their 6 week check, and they've had engine management lights, coolant lights etc on the dash. I'm beginning to think do they even check some of the lorries that are left in with them?
