Dick Lovett started the business in 1959 in Swindon, Wiltshire selling motorbikes and employing less than 5 people. Dick, supported by his wife Stella, had a passion for specialist sports cars, which he would buy and sell to other enthusiasts. They lived above their business and would be on hand to cater for enquiries from all over the British Isles. Their passion for Porsche, Maserati, Lamborghini, and Ferrari was also shared by their son Peter, who joined the family business after he left school.

I would like to say thank you to Megan and Gareth for heping my daughter today. She was working away and had low oil warning display in her car. Gareth advised her to come in as it wasn't safe for her to travel home. All this was resolved in 30 minutes from my phone call. Thanks both from a relieved parent

Wholeheartedly thankful for the outstanding service received by Denise McGarrie for my recent EV BMW order. Denise is extremely patient, knowledgeable and attentive; a true consummate professional. Without a shadow of a doubt, I'd describe the overall experience as WORLD CLASS - from initial consultation to taking home delivery of my vehicle. Please do not hesitate to get in touch, I'd definitely recommend Denise and her team! Kind regards, Vik

Took my car in for a service and to have a minor fault fixed. I waited whilst the work was done. I was offered coffee at regular intervals while I sat at a work station. Particularly impressed with the Covid restrictions in place. Was also impressed that they fixed the minor fault free of charge. Everybody I came into contact with was very customer focused.

Stripped the thread on my sump when the car went in for a simple service, they called to inform me of the damage they had caused but wanted to charge me 2000 to repair damage they had done. I ended up getting the car recovered elsewhere but still cost me 1800 to repair. Absolutely shocking. Very disappointed as I've used this garage for years without issue.
Such a shame that they were unable to take responsibility for their mistake. Mistakes happen but it should never have been handled in the manner that it was. Avoid avoid avoid!

I'm sorry but I cannot recommend this garage. I spoke to someone in the dealership who to be honest wasn't very interested & told me they would call, they never did. I tried a few months later as it is my local dealer however again, slightly rude & uninterested with no follow up. I'm sticking to travelling out of town to go to an authorised dealer elsewhere.

I took my BMW here twice for repairs; both times it was returned with additional things broken which had absolutely not been broken before it went in. The prices are a little high, but add to that damaging the car while in their care (and making no effort to make good on that damage) and they are a place to avoid. I have returned to making a very long round trip to an independent BMW specialist garage I trust in Bristol, as I simply can't trust Dick Lovett Swindon not to cause more harm than they solve.
