Wouldnt even give them 1 star. What a bunch of absolute jokers. All nice and full of the usual crap when selling you a car but once you've got that car home sorting out problems with it is another story! Sold me and my partner a car with the rear brake disks and pads having completely worn after 500 miles. It first started with a very loud screeching noise constantly when driving at 50mph or more.

At the time we didnt know it was the brakes, took it in for them to have a look and they said there was nothing wrong with the car. The screeching got worse so we took it in again for them to this time say the rear brake disks and pads were completely worn in the space of 3 weeks! Then told us it was going to cost 180 for parts and labour. I didnt expect id have to fork out a couple of hundred quid after paying 10,500 for a car! Just taken it in for their "free six month/6000 mile interim service" which has taken 2 and a half hours to do! Please whatever you do, DONT BUY FROM CON CRAFT!

I applied for finance online via the Carcraft website. I received a call the following day from Matthew a salesperson from Carcraft Wednesbury telling me 'good news' I'd been approved for finance and I should come down to the showroom over the weekend to chose my car as they plenty in stock in my price range. I turned up at the showroom in Wednesbury the following day to be taken through the usual presentation they go through and then left for about 5 mins to look for something I was interested in.

He asked my monthly limit and I said no more than 180 per month so I was looking at a car that said 45 a week on the windscreen, based on a 2500 deposit and 12.5% apr. I asked for his best price on the car with 1500 deposit and he went backwards and forwards to his 'manager' and finally said they would be able to get it to 180 no problem, then came the test drive.

During the test drive I asked Matthew about the finance being approved as he had stated over the phone and he said everything was approved, as long as I had all my documentation I could drive the car away that day. We got back to the showroom where he sat at a table with me with a piece of paper with all different figures which his manager had prepared during the test drive.

Suddenly the monthly repayment was 450! Nowhere near the 180. I told him I would never pay that amount of money over 5 years for a car worth no more than 9000. Again it went back and forth until we finally agreed on 280 per month. Then he said the finance needed to be approved? I questioned this to be told 'it's all ok, they just need to check your documentation against what you put on the online application' I knew everything was the same so thought there would be no problems.

I paid my 1500 deposit on my debit card and was told if any problems with finance it will be back in your bank account in 24 hours. Wait 15 mins and we'll have your credit approved. 4 hours later! After asking what's going on, how much longer? I was finally told I wasn't able to get finance. I asked the man from the finance department why I'd been told over the phone it was all approved, he said 'nobody should have told you that' then I asked for my 1500 to be refunded which i was told would take 3-5 working days.

I said I was told 24 hours, to which I got the reply 'you shouldn't have been told that' So I spend 5 hours of my weekend being told lies by a dodgy salesperson, no car, but I think I had a lucky escape I'll just buy one cash with my 1500 when materialised. I will NEVER set foot in Car Craft again!

My daughter visited CARCRAFT. While there she was subjected to pressure selling. She purchased a Peugeot 207 (average UK price 7,750). The CARCRAFT price was just over 10.000. With 1500 trade in, she was left with 8532 to pay. She was also sold an extended guarantee. She left CARCRAFT with total repayment costs (over 5 years) of approx 17,330!
