RT Mechanics

I have used RT Mechanics twice in the last month and received excellent service both times from Russell, Dan and the rest of the team that work there. Before Christmas i got a screw in my tyre outside a clients house. I contacted RT and they swiftly booked me in around my busy work schedule. They did not stock my tyre size but managed to order one in for the next day and managed to get me in to fit it.

They stuck to the original quote and provided an excellent service. Sunday the 2nd i was driving home from visiting family and another tyre developed a slow puncture whilst on the A3, i made contact with ST out of hours and they managed to get me in first thing Tuesday morning when they reopened for business. I had prepared myself to be paying out for a second tyre, shortly after dropping my wheel off i was contacted to say that it just had a repairable puncture which they sorted straight away. again due to work commitments i was unable to have the wheel refited but as soon as i was free they slotted me in. My RS4 Avant went in to RT Mechanics after having thrown a Sports Diff Malfunction warning light. The guys diagnosed faulty pressure sensors on the rear diff, so replaced both of these, recalibrated them to the car and replaced the rear final drive and ATF oils. Mike kept me regularly informed as the job progressed and my invoice, whilst not for the faint-hearted (it is a 450bhp autobahn-storming V8 after all!) was a fair price for the work done - which I was completely satisfied with.

It is clear that all the guys at Russ' garage are full-on petrol-heads, so I'd have no hesitation in using their services again and will recommend them if anyone asks me if I know a good local specialist. Thanks for a job well done guys.

Great service, diagnosed and cleared a service light, 4 wheel alignment to get steering wheel centred and then suggested new tyres needed to replace the cheap tyres fitted before I bought the car. Driving the car now transformed!

I have used Russ and the team for years on my BMW and wife's Fiesta. They have done excellent job. Always calls and doesn't do work unnecessarily. Also cleans car inside and out which is bonus for independent garage. Would highly recommend.

Russell and his team have been looking after our Volvo and VW Polo for the past 5 years. We wouldn't go anywhere else. We trust them implicitly and we can always rely on them to help us and look after our cars professionally. The staff are all very polite, friendly snd nothing is too much trouble. We are lucky to have such a fantastic garage with amazing support locally to us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Just had my Volvo V40 serviced and MOT'd at RT Mechanics and pleased to report that the service, communication, and professionalism were all excellent. unlike the previous experiences I've had with the Volvo main dealer that serviced the vehicle previously. Had a small misunderstanding in regards to the need for a rear tyre replacement, but an amicable agreement was quickly reached. Will definatley be using RT Mechanics from now on.

I've been going to RT Mechanics for about 10 years or so now. Most recently I've had my Audi serviced here, and previously trusted them with Volvos and a Porsche. I've never paid more than I've been told I would. If they find anything untoward during routine maintenance Dan and the team have always advised me of the options available. They have never undertaken any work that I haven't authorised.

As a result the bill is always as expected. They do a great job, using manufacturer approved parts, (in order to maintain dealer warranties, ) and in my experience the service they deliver is better than the main dealers. You may not get the coffee and leather sofas, but you do have a well-maintained, properly serviced (amazing how often this is not the case with main dealers) and forward-managed car that in my experience saves money in the long run. I would recommend RT to anyone who is looking for specialist-level service, whatever the model or age of car.

I have been using RT Mechanics for my car servicing and repairs for over 8 years now - from a Volvo XC 90, to an XC60 and now an XC40 - and they have proven to be the best car service operators I have ever dealt with in 35 years of driving!
