Delighted with our newly converted camper-van having spent some months researching and viewing what was available at other dealers. Finding what was perfect for us on our doorstep was a bonus. Great service and follow up. Having bought our chosen Alphard camper van, there were a few teething issues that simply needed explaining to us and all was well. Quick response to our queries and cheerful with it, I can highly recommend the customer service from Alex and the team as well as the vehicle.

BUYER BEWARE! I bought a Bongo from Riviera 2 years ago. After 1 year I had to get all the electrics replaced because of poor incorrect fittings. At the same time one of the metal cleats to hold the roof straps came undone and I was told to put a match stick in and screw it back in! This year both cleats came off as I was driving down the motorway and the roof poped up ripping the canvas.
I called Riviera to find out how to get it replaced and they said they couldn't help. I was told by the owner that I was driving too fast! I asked them for the company that fitted the roof and they refused to give the name siteing 'company policy'. He then put the phone down on me. As you can see from other views there is zero after sales support from this company.
Don't be fooled by the sailing story or the sales pitches - they appear nice when selling but really seem to have little knowledge about the vehicles they are selling and there is no after sales service. Hope this helps - lots of other Bongo places to go;

Buyer be aware.be very careful before parting with any of your hard earned money. This dealer is not to be trusted. Cares little about customers satisfaction or knows nothing of after sales service. After spending 17k on a fresh import Mazda Bongo Camper van and finding quite a few faults that my local garage where able to fix (at considerable cost) like windshield wipers that were not road worthy (question how it got a MOT) Coolant system needed bleeding because thermostat wasn't working.no jack or tools to get the spear wheel out and I quote when I called RiviaraMotors"It's a second hand vehicle.?
What do you expect?" The salesperson at RiviaraMotors can't help himself from telling lies. He told us the van would be cleaned before collection. The whole of the inside was stained with tobacco nicotine as where the inside of the windows Yet another lie. we found the flooring was badly fitted. looks like some one used a spoon to cut the floor covering He told us Child seats were not a problem. 3 different motor factors including Halfords would not sell or fit child seats saying that they were unsafe.
Our salesman from RiviaraMotors said." The trouble Is with them they are just too picky"! We're talking child safety. Go on the internet and buy some seats"I'm sure they will be fine" He told us.

Riviera Motors in Totnes are the best camper van dealers I have ever dealt with. Just bought from them a Toyota Alphard with all the features I was looking for. In addition great people to deal with. Very professional and courteous. I was shown how every aspect of the campervan and how all the features worked. Well done Riviera Motors for a great buying experience. Thank you very much.

Spent a long time looking at the vast range of Mazda Bongos here last weekend. This will be my first time purchasing a camper van so I was a little nervous but the two salesmen I saw were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble to explain or go through. I had already been to a couple of other local dealers but they didn't have the range or friendly knowledge that Riviera did. Feeling confident about my first trip away now! Can't wait- thank you Riviera!

For the last 6 months we have (exhaustively) researched and viewed a LOT of campervans - both private sales and dealers. The wrong choice could ensure an irretrievable financial loss plus a lot of stress. A few weeks ago I saw somebody in our neighbourhood about to get into their Mazda Bongo. She very kindly allowed me to look inside it and explained she'd purchased it from Riviera Motors who she highly recommended. Cue me dragging my husband along to Riviera Motors just "to have a look". That, is where our search ended.
We had the good fortune to meet Alex of Riviera Motors who was extremely helpful, friendly, professional and, importantly, was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicles he sells. Over the ensuing few days, leading up to collecting our Bongo, I have bombarded Alex with endless questions and 'what if' scenarios - all of which he answered with unwavering patience.
I never write reviews but I'm SO impressed with our Bongo and the service we've received at Riviera Motors. I highly recommend anybody thinking of buying a campervan or motor home to visit them - I wish we had 6 months ago.

Having searched many websites, I found this lovely family run business, set within picturesque scenery, and conveniently located on the outskirts of Totnes, which is in good proximity to the A38. I chose my motor home and from start to finish have been fully satisfied with my purchase experience. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly, informative, nothing was too much trouble.
As a single female I had many questions to ask about my motorhome, silly things like how to manage the water tanks, working out the 3 way fridge etc. and each time I was helped brilliantly. I would thoroughly recommend, and already have.

1998 Swift Sundance 500 bought from Riviera Motors for 13,995, two years ago. After purchase it was found to be extremely damp, it was inspected by VOSA and the MOT Certificate supplied with the vehicle was revoked, so the vehicle should never have been driven, let alone used. After two months of ownership Riviera Motors offered to buy the vehicle back "Our price will obviously be less than your original purchase price, as we are a business and exist to make a profit, however, we would do our best to give you the best possible value given your change of circumstances." Their offer 8000! Refusal of MOT Certificate issued by VOSA 30 Jun 2016,
