Our wonderful customers are sometimes surprised of the extent of what we actually make in our shop, it would be quicker to tell you the very few things we do serve but do not make here in Barrhead.We source and buy the best locally produced beef, lamb, pork and chicken. We trim, dice, mince, bone, roll, slice and make almost every single thing we sell in our shop, EVERY DAY.
Services
I was born into a long line family of butchers, my forefathers have been butchers in Kilwinning since 1830. Having been brought up with my brothers and sisters on our family farm just outside Kilwinning I learned from a very young age how to work the farm then butcher in the family shops. To this day, my father still rears his own cattle and livestock to supply his shops and he taught me the importance of caring about the source of my meat and the quality of my produce.In previous times, pre supermarket, Barrhead had 8 butcher shops and the last surviving butcher was McKenna's at 224 Main Street.
At Bickets, we make all our own steak pies, Scotch pies, curry pies and mince rounds in our Barrhead shop daily. There is a good chance this is why you have visited our website, they are by far our most talked about product on social media, in our first 2 years of opening we sold almost 8,000 steak pies and we like to boast about it!
We cater for all of your festive banqueting requirements, anything from a turkey crown for two to a Kelly Bronze feeding 22! We offer this along with all of your homemade festive trimmings and all in oven ready roasting bags with guided cooking times to ensure for stress free cooking on the big day!

CHRISTMAS TURKEY and STEAK PIES ordered again for 2019, having used this local treasure since opening a few years ago, I can not see past Bickets. If you are looking for the BEST Butcher in East Renfrewshire then Bickets is not to missed and worth the journey. All Scottish produce, Customer service is second to none, good old fashioned service. Highly recommend.
