Andy made contact after seeing the advert for my car on Autotrader. He didn't waste any time in coming down to look at my Freelander. Andy was very fair and reasonable and great to deal with. A really nice genuine character making the sale of my beloved car a lot easier. Nick dealt with all the finance and it was a smooth transaction all completed within less than a week. Buying a car (2011 Freelander 2 ) from Yate car sales is quite easy especially if you can just pay for the car and drive it away as I did. The standard scenario of agreeing a price for the car and the part ex value of my car was not a problem, doing the paperwork for the sale was also quick as it was cash not finance. All in all the experience was as expected from a car sales business.
Where it all falls down is that I thought that agreeing to upgrade the warranty to the 2 year 4 star version as they suggested, for the full repair value of the car 14.5k for 200 would be a good thing for peace of mind.but i have now discovered 11 months in to the agreement that it's not worth the paper it was written on.the rear diff failed at 45k and the insurance says it's wear and tear and won't pay out.i complained to Yate cars about selling insurance that didn't honour a typical claim and they said that they would see it they could do anything to help by approaching the insurance company, but after 2 weeks of waiting for them to get back to me with the results after chasing them with e mail text and phone calls I have given up. Reviews given by others reflect this behavior (of not responding)with this car sales outlet.
So by all means buy a car from Yate but just have the standard legal 3 month cover that everyone gets and hope that nothing goes wrong, don't buy extra cover.read the reviews of their insurance providers they are terrible.i will be leaving a review for that insurance company separately. Thanks for late response but your few paragraphs don't reflect the real situation.the company were aware of the situation where I went ahead with the repair and contacted the insurance company once I had a signal( whilst the repair was in progress) and they agreed to call the garage when it was being done.

I am still waiting for an official letter as to why they won't pay out but as yet they haven't sent one.quite the same as I am waiting for you to ring me regarding your promise to get back to me which you haven't after several calls an e mail and a text.
You told me you have had several of these diffs repaired by this company in the last five years.they told me that they haven't repaired any because it's a common fault and they won't cover it.ask for a copy of my conversation. So what you have said never came into the frame.wear and tear is the reason I am quite happy to accept non conforming to the procedure and them rejecting my claim, but they never paid out even when its itemized in the warranty.l still stick to my review don't buy the insurance.

Never never never again from them! I bought an SUV from them and after 2 months the car was off without even do a lot of miles. They sell me a warranty for 200 for 2 years but it was completely a lie. I try to use it in order to change the fan and in the book was saying that they cover the fan but even this didn't work. They told me a silly excuse and then that they can't cover the fan during the winter time (insane).
We try to contact with them (Yate car sales) to find a solution as we paid a lot of money and we only take an answer for Chris "it is what it is". He never helps us and after the second time we call him he said don't you ever call back again in the office as they are not their problem and we create problem in their staff. We try to do everything but the car was old 2005 and we didn't have any change as the car went of after only 2 months.
They just simple ignore us. So don't trust this guy Chris and make sure that you will check the car very well before you take it otherwise you will take the same answer "it is what it is".

We have decided to buy a family car (Landrover Freelander 2) and looked on line what's available. Considering that we decided to buy during unprecedented times of C-19, we thought it will be a very odd and long process. Yate Cars website had a lot to chose from and we have contacted the company. We dealt with Nick on this occasion and we found him so helpful and very friendly.
He had made buying experienced very easy and we were updated at all stages of the transactions. It took only 3 working days and our car had been delivered to London. A week on now. happy with the car therefore a big thank you to Yate cars for being so friendly and so professional.

If you want to look at cars that are clean shiny and detailed then this is the garage for you. After looking around other garages and getting so disheartened I found this one on Google and it did not disappoint. We were free to roam around unhindered before finally deciding on the Land Rover I wanted. The whole process was easy and stress free. Got a good price for my car to part ex and drove away in my new land Rover very happy. Highly recommend.
