Services
Platts was established in Marlow over 88 years ago by Reg Platt, Grandfather of today's Managing Director, Tim Platt. Since then, three generations of the family have successfully managed the business. All with the same commitment and intent - to provide the local community with the best cars and with service to match.
Platts offer the complete new Ford range of cars and now have the exciting New Ford Ecosport available for test drive. So whether you live in Marlow, High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Henley-on-Thames, or the surrounding villages such as Bourne End, Flackwell Heath, Wooburn Green, Cookham, Lane End or Stokenchurch we would love to hear from you. Even if you live further afield give us a call to see how competitive we can be on new Ford cars.
This is just a small selection of the great deals available on new Fords from Platts Motor Company right now. If you can't see a deal for the model of Ford you want to buy give us a call on 01628 894100 and talk to one of our non-commissioned sales team who will happily prepare a bespoke offer for you.
Why do our customers decide to use our finance options when it comes to purchasing their car?. Not only can it speed things along, it is often more straight forward than dealing with your bank or online, decisions are often immediate and the rates of interest competitive. On new Fords there is often a subsidised rate of interest from Ford and sometimes they will give you an amount towards a deposit, to help lower your monthly payment.

I did major service at plats in Marlow. they charge me over 300 for my small Peugeot. Next day my car start making whistle noise every time I switch on AC. One year later when I gave my car for major service to the other mechanic what a shocking news I received. According to a mechanic my oil filters wasn't change at all for at least last 5 years.
There was no oil in the car ( keep in mind I barely drive my car). Mechanic very confidently said I was ripped off and NOTHING was done to my car! I am very disappointed and speechless. Didn't expect that kind of service in Marlow. Avoid Marlow Platts, save your money and save your car.

Platts are ACE! I drove from London to Marlow for lunch, and as I arrived at the restaurant someone noticed I had a serious oil leak. Drove around to Platts and explained the situation (I'd just had my car serviced that morning by Skoda). They were able to store the car, collect the oil leak, and more amazingly were able to service the car while I was at lunch, even though they were fully booked. Saved me a breakdown recovery to Skoda. Brilliant service. Very friendly and took away the stress of the situation. "Leave it with us and enjoy your lunch" and they over delivered on expectations! Thanks guys

I originally booked in my vehicle in mid- august after an amber check engine light appeared on the dash. Unfortunately, I had to reschedule on the day as my father had fallen unwell and had to be taken to the hospital (by myself). After calling the garage and explaining the need to reschedule, I was told over the phone by the gentleman at reception how inconvenient this occurrence was, and that my actions would cause Platts to lose out on business (as if I had somehow had discretion over a family members health).
Nevertheless I booked my in my car again for a week later, overlooking the dodgy customer service. After dropping my car off at lunchtime, I was called just before 6 with the news of "too many warning faults detected" and that the only action was to clear them all and wait for them to resurface. I thought this was fair enough, until I discovered that they were charging 115 for this expert advice (and will most likely pay this fee again once the warning light comes back, 230 total for problem identification!).
After paying the bill I walk out to the car and find the final surprise: the foot well mats and the door sill being covered in mud from the mechanic inspecting the vehicle (much worse condition than it was dropped off in - picture proof to be uploaded with this review). I strongly recommend giving this garage a miss and using somewhere else.

Was very unhappy with the after sales service on my daughters car. After having rear parking sensors fitted by them shortly after buying the car, the central locking system randomly stopped working. When she reported the fault, firstly they said to try double locking the car which made no different. After my daughter insisted there was something wrong they kept the car for a few days and then rang my daughter to tell here they had found no fault.
She insisted they kept it for a few more days to carry on their checks. On collecting the car and driving away the central locking system kept disabling and my daughter had to insist they got into the car to see the fault for themselves. Fault now fixed but it would not have been so if my daughter had not been so insistent.

Have purchased several cars from Steve and the team at Platts over several years and had them serviced there as well. The level of customer service is second to none and attentiveness is unmatched by other dealerships and garages I have used. It's increasingly difficult to find dealerships and service centres that you know you can 100% trust and expect to receive good value, high quality service, but Platts of Marlow is definitely one of them.
