Albert Abbott Motors was established in 1965 by the late Albert Abbott operating from the same premises in Cecil Road, Northampton. The business was passed to his son, Terry, who has since passed the business to his sons John and Ben. Retailing cars runs in the family. We have a fantastic local reputation that has been earned over many years of successful trading.Priding ourselves on selecting good quality used cars. Albert Abbott Motors are pleased to offer part exchange facilities for your maximum convenience. We will give you a fair price for your part exchange whatever the condition. Well maintained vehicles in good saleable condition will attract the best price in part exchange. At the other end of the spectrum we will dispose of end of life vehicles and take care of the paperwork. We will always beat the price offered by well known car buying websites! This is the most convenient way to dispose of your existing car.
A return to base warranty covering all mechanical and electrical faults. This is a no quibble 3 month warranty except where abuse has occurred. Our responsibility is to ensure everything is as it should be: working and tested. The purchaser has the responsibility of checking oil, water and tyres regularly and to service as required.
Car finance agreements are usually secured against the vehicle for the duration of the contract, typically 3-4 years, and during this time the car will be owned by the finance company. At the end of your agreement, once all repayments have been made, you will 'take title' to the vehicle and become its legal owner.

I'd been looking for a particular classic vehicle for a long time and came across one advertised at Albert Abbott Motors in Northampton. It didn't seem to be the usual stock that they held but nonetheless I called up and had a lovely conversation with John (Abbott). John talked with pride and honesty about the car and I agreed to view it the following weekend. Drove down, had a really good look round it, poured over the paperwork and had a really good test drive.
No pressure from John at all, we agreed a deal and John arranged a fresh MOT and service for me in time to collect the following week. Travelled down by train, John even picked me up from the station on the Bank Holiday so I could collect the car. I'd have no problem recommending Albert Abbott motors to anyone, it's a fine example of how a long established business looks after people and I wish them many more years happy trading ahead. Bought a car for my wife 18mths ago. Fab car, fair price. Excellent customer service. Very friendly, helpful, and even put full MOT on the car as it only had a few months left, tyres were advised, and knowing the children were going to be in the vehicle, they replaced those too. I've now gone back to buy another car - upgrading my own. Highly recommended.

Looking at the website you get a feel for the authenticity of this small, local car dealer - established well over 50 years ago and still trading from the same location and run by the same family says it all. I have had the best experience buying a car from this company. John Abbott was very helpful and a good cameraman giving me a video walk round of the car I had seen online, explaining the features and condition (which was excellent btw). Ben Abbott, delivered the car to me over 100 miles away 2 days later. I couldnt be more impressed with the service I received. I would recommend this company wholeheartedly.

Great service from John at Albert Abbott Motors. I purchased a small car which developed a minor fault shortly after the C-19 crisis started, but although the showroom was closed they arranged a warranty repair with a local garage as soon as possible. Lots of people are good at selling cars, but it's the aftersales service that counts. First on my list to check out when it's time to upgrade.

You won't find more genuine guys than these in the motor trade. Whenever I need another car they always find me a genuine buy. I always buy my cars from here, in fact I have bought from their father who ran the business until a few years ago, never had a problem with anything I bought but I know if anything did go wrong they would sort it. I know I can buy with confidence
