Biggest car rental SCAM EVER! You will be stuck without a car or pay a minimun additional $380 to $700 above what you expected to pay for a week rental. There was a mob of angry customers, including myself, at the Next car rental. They have 5 different names. Be Careful! Do not book this scam!

I rented a car through Priceline with this company. They were very accommodating, gave us an upgrade, and ensured that we could use the car well during our stay. Car was brand new and no issues with it. Staff were very friendly and professional. I don't know why there are bad reviews here but with my interaction with them, it was overall excellent and would recommend using this company for car rentals. I will also be using this company for my future return trips.

Stay away from this car rental company. It is low class right down to the office, a dump. They lured me in with a low price. Then there is a 10.99 charge per for Sun Pass. The low life behind the counter told me I would incur a $25 fine for each toll if I didn't take the coverage. Naturally this is not so with any reputable company. Then in order to wave the insurance coverage, you will need to show them your declaration page from your car insurance policy. Everyone carries that around with them, right? Do us all a favor. Don't give them your business and maybe they'll eventually disappear!

In the words of Jerry Seinfeld, "You can "take" the reservation but you can't "hold" the reservation". That's the most important part of the process. Very Disappointed! If your plane is delayed by an hour, they do not hold your car for you, even if you have paid a non-refundable deposit and you have called to update your pickup time. They don't care.

As others have said if I could give a NEGATIVE rating for this company I would have! RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL customer service! First lost our first reservation to accommodate our whole group. Longest wait I have ever had at an airport waiting for them to pick us up. Once they finally picked us up the driver was rude and not very helpful. Finally arrived at the rental company and charged us for being late.

They sent a text at 11:13am stating we had 2 hours to get there or we would be charged a late fee, we made it before the 2 hours was up but they told us well your text was wrong, you only had one hour. Was charged over $100 for late fee and only reason we were "late" was because we waited over 45 mins for THEIR shuttle to pick us up. Then, they said that our proof of insurance wasn't good enough, they needed the declaration page even though they NEVER stated that before we arrived. Asked for a manager numerous times and was never able to speak to one. Workers kept smiling and laughing when we were getting upset and not understanding why we were being charged for things that made no sense.

They charged my mother in law for a car seat for my son that I paid for myself! They don't tell you this before hand but make sure you have credit card and not one that has a debit attached to it because they will first say they wont accept it but then they will tell you they will just this once but will charge you an extra $20 per day to use it!

Will NEVER use this company again. When we returned the van and got home got an email stating that we were charged for an upgrade! We ordered a 14 person van first, they lost our reservation so we chose a 7 person van and that is what we got. No upgrade at all but charged for one! Will make sure to tell EVERYONE I know to NEVER use this company. SCAM, RIP OFF, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN! Was not the best way to start off our family Disney trip!

Literally was a life saver today to travel to get my son. Prior coming I had a problem with Avis and this was way cheaper what the man at Avis tried to put me in. The young lady on the customer service line was so helpful for me to get a reservation today. I will definitely recommend.

If I could give a negative rating for NextCar Car Rental, I would! The location at BWI International rental pickup was horrendous, it was the worst rental experience I've had in a very, very long time. Don't get me wrong, the price was very good for a minvan rental but that was the only good thing about the experience. Where do I begin, how about the counter agent that assisted me.

I suppose that because these companies are hard pressed to hire people, they are accepting whomever they can get which was evident in my case. This counter agent did everything in her power to make this whole experience a living hell! I pre-paid using Expedia but when I got to the checkout, the agent still wanted full payment, plus deposit (standard practice on the deposit, I know), plus she wanted me to purchase extra liability insurance even though I showed her my Geico policy where the policy coverages are clearly detailed.

I waited at the counter for a full 30 minutes getting through to the correct insurance coverage but ended up purchasing the extra insurance just to get through the process. Any other rental agency I've gone to asks about my current insurance company. I tell them, and that is that. I never have to actually pull out the policy to show them I have the correct coverage!

To top it off, when I go to pay my credit card chip malfunctions, which it has been doing lately, and so I go to swipe the card, but the counter agent tells me that they don't accept swipes.chip only. I was livid. Her reply to me was, it's in our policy.the fine details no one bothers to read when booking! Bottom line folks, either avoid NextCar Rental or drive an extra 75 miles to IAD to rent a car. The location at BWI is the worse, bar none. Now I have to haggle with Expedia to get my money refunded.

The worst! The sales rep Michael is so nasty and they really tried to scam me. DO NOT rent from them. The cars are terrible. Liberty rd. He was in such a rush to leave town on Friday. Engine light.tire pressure lights were all on. I take car back and he wants me to do incident report. He was so Nasty. YES MICHAEL FIND ANOTHER JOB.

Absolutely horrible. They put a price online then you get there & it's like a million & 10 additional charges. Then it doesn't make it better that a big ass mushroom shaped lady with glasses & ramen string hair had the worst attitude with horrible customer service. Was talking to my coworker in regards to how horrible everything was & she said "then why are you here" like excuse meeee?!

See now i gotta tell you about yourself because i was being nice, waited for her to move someone's car, etc. before even attempting to take care of us, so for her to say that really just showed that she didn't want to help us in the first place. Extremely unprofessional. Please be careful going here, they'll squeeze all your money out your pockets & it's sucks because people coming into LA probably don't know what to expect and that's how they get people.

Abu was professional and was doing his best to get things handled in a timely manner. Although the transaction was going smoothly he was asking for wayyy too much information just to verify insurance. I've never had to rent a car where they ask you for address verification, he asked for my lease, two bills, my job info and was obligated to give him a secondary phone number that I obviously do not have. Honestly the worse experience I've ever had at Nextcar, if all that info is ever needed it needs to be stated somewhere so next time someone is well off prepared.

Tonight I was able to steer away no pun intended from this scam car rental location. With the construction at LAX I boarded a bus to the normal rental car locations. The lady bus driver said, "oh you want Next Car rental" you have to go to a hotel. I responded with what? She drove me there I went up to the third-floor which looks like a Third World country makeshift car rental depot there was a person in front of me that was having some issues trying to rent a car after looking at the details I realized that this place was a total scam, the place had cars but they monetize from the small print that is not drafted by an attorney in another words, they give you the car and if you have a toll charge or a small issue you are out.

Immediately I press the number "1" button on the elevator exited the hotel and proudly called the Lyft from LA to Brea California and save myself a lot of hassle and money! Close call!

Ok, the low price is tempting, but definitely do not book with NextCar. Posting this to remind myself never to book with them again. Almost did tonight. They've got a good rate going. Thanks to the reviews, I remembered I booked with them last year and it was a nightmare. Many rental car companies have bad reviews because customers fail to read the small print.

This isn't one of those cases. This place is an absolute scam. Like the previous reviewer said, this place is at the top of a parking garage in a hotel. The elevators weren't working when I was there, and figuring out how to get there with stairs was weird since the internal staircase didn't make it there. Other reviewers already went over how tiny the place is and the horrible line situation, so I'll skip over that.

They tried to not accept my car insurance. I'm covered specifically for driving rental cars. Eventually, after a whole lot of bs and asking a lot of personal information, they accepted it. Then they said it's not unlimited miles for me since I was a local renter. On Priceline, it said it was unlimited for everyone; that's why I went with them.

If I'm remembering correctly, it wasn't even a 200 mile a day limit. It was something really tiny then a fee for every mile after that. It's so rough booking with unknown rental companies. Some end up being great. This one sucks so much though. Do not consider them regardless of the price.

I don't even know if this company is real. I reserved a car at LAX, the text they sent said to take shuttle bus E to pick up the car. Shuttle bus E no longer runs. I called Next. iMessage said to take the Radisson hotel shuttle. Funny thing, the Radisson Hotel is permanently closed and there are no shuttle buses. Called back Next to try to speak to someone.

It went to voicemail every time. I texted back to ask for help. Over half an hour later, no reply. It's been about an hour of me walking all over LAX trying to get a ride to this goddamn place. I left swearing voicemails and texts and then flagged down Fox rental car shuttle bus. Rented a car with ease and now it is my mission to let everyone know to stay as far away as possible from Next.

This spot has the smallest office space, that you step I to as soon as you step off the elevators. No greetings, just a long line of unsatisfied, disgruntled people. The manager was racists, she was giving deposit discounts to Hispanics, and giving the black is a hard time. So much in fact I just cancelled my reservation, and walked to Hertz. The manager was an elderly Hispanic woman who constantly gave a look like the world is stypid, and she knows everything. My price went from 121 to388 no thanks. If your looking for good service, and reasonable prices, go somewhere else.

Poor customer. Representative was disrespectful. They do not wear nametagsn have business cards, or have supervision on sight. They did not answer the phone once over a period over several days. business phone is a cellphone voicemail and they dont return calls. Company charges for roadside assistance. Company operates under different than under reservation and is not listed with Google. Company will attempt to charge you with pre existing minor damages. The headache of this company isnt worth the savings.

This place is sketchy as hell. They are using Square to run credit cards and charging a month rental, plus extra charges, plus extra charge for an additional driver of 20$ per day. The guy claimed the magnetic strip in my cars wouldn't work so I called my bank. My bank stayed it was sketchy also that a business of rental cars was using square and not running a credit card using a bank terminal. I left and will never go there again.

Will never rent from this place again, and def wouldn't recommend to anyone else. They insisted to call my credit card bank to verify the insurance, which of course took a while, and of course never happened before if you rent from Hertz or even Budget/Avis. Took forever(almost an hour) to get over the paper work and pick up the car. Tank was half full, which wasn't a problem.

But the car smelled awful, very strong odor of smoke and cheap air fresher that tries to cover it. When I returned the car, the posted amount for the rental wasn't right. So if you have to rent a car from them, double check your bank statement.

Stay clear of this company. I booked through Priceline and this was the car rental they recommended. We had to catch a shuttle from LAX to get there lugging our luggage several times on and off the shuttles until we arrived at the rooftop of the Renaissance Hotel. When I got to the counter they said I needed to have a print out of my car insurance declaration page in order to rent from them. I'm 45 years old and have rented from other rental car companies in the past and never had to bring a copy of my insurance policy.

So after several calls to my insurance company I finally convinced the lady at the counter to accept a fax from my insurance company. Then they told me they were giving me a Jeep Compass when I ordered a mid size SUV, not a compact SUV. It was me, my wife and two teenage daughters with all our luggage. I said that I ordered a larger SUV and they said they didn't have anything else when I saw several other SUV's on the lot.

The Jeep didn't fit all our luggage and we had to hold luggage on our laps because of the lack of cargo room. Oh. And let me tell you about this car. It had a little less than a quarter of a tank of gas, had almost 80,000 miles and had dents and scratches on every panel. The suspension and brakes were shot. Every time I stepped on the brakes the front end felt like it was going to shake right off the car.

When I went to return it, they hustled me and said that the car had half a tank when I rented it when it only had a quarter of a tank. I argued and argued and then pulled out the contract which to my surprise, had no gas level selected at all. So they charged me $25 for more gas. The people were rude, the car was horrible and not maintained. This place is just a scam job and I wish I could get my money back. If you're reading this run. Don't rent from here.

Do not rent a car from this company. They are pretty much a scam! We rented a car through a rental car app and reserved a Chevy Cruze and they gave us a Volkswagen Jetta instead. We asked them why they were giving us the Jetta and the employee couldn't give us a straight answer. She kept using a term that didn't make any sense but was probably something they use on the paperwork.

Then she told us they didn't even rent out Chevy Cruzes when we could see one across the lot from us. Besides that, our last day on vacation we ended up having to pay for another day just to cover the few hours before our flight home. We were frustrated because they didn't explain the hours when we were there the first day getting the car.

And now, a month later we've had two more charges of $30 and we've called them several times to get an explanation why and they won't even pick up the phone! I'm sure there will be even more charges too, it wouldn't surprise me. Just DONT USE THIS COMPANY. You'll be very disappointed. I'd give it a 0 star if I could

This was my first time renting a car on my own (w/o parents): the service provided was exceptional, prices we're reasonable and they overall made me feel at ease throughout the entire process! I especially like the Liberty Road location for where I live. The customer service was excellent I dealt with a young lady named Princess. She was very knowledgeable. I saw this young lady washing the cars and all. I would recommend NextCar to my family and friends, I had no hassle.
