At Taggarts we firmly believe and live by our brand ethos of being there 'for you, for life'. Taggarts Motor Group is one of the best-known names in the Scottish motor trade. The company has come a long way since it was founded by James Taggart and his friend Robert McMillan in 1896. From its early days as a cycle shop in Motherwell, the company has grown to become one of the most important dealerships in Scotland and one of the most progressive. In 1970, the company represented one brand; Austin Rover, with outlets in Motherwell, East Kilbride, Airdrie and Carluke.
While our showrooms are closed, we're still here to help and have identified nationwide service operations across the UK and Ireland where we have technicians on hand to provide emergency services and repair to keyworkers. You can find more information on this here. At Taggarts we are dedicated to helping our customers maintain their vehicle through the course of its life and our team of professional after sales advisors are always on hand to offer guidance. We take as much pride in your car as you do.
A Vehicle Health Check (VHC) covers many key points on your vehicle to be certain that they are safe, and identifies those that are not. Once a VHC has been conducted, you will receive a report of your results, which will score all points checked on your vehicle as Red, Amber or Green, depending on whether they require work or not.
Having your vehicle serviced on a regular basis is essential to maintain its strong performance and safety levels. To make it easier for you to keep your Jaguar in optimum condition, we have a range of special offers available from our Dealerships throughout the UK. To find out more about our servicing offers you can submit an enquiry online or call to speak to a member of the team.

Had the best Customer Service Sales experience ever this is my second car purchased from Taggarts and can't thank them enough for advise and support throughout the process they truly go as it says on the ad above and beyond. A special thanks to Ian our Sales Advisor who was very knowledgeable and most helpful he took care of us from start to finish. Would not hesitate to recommend Taggarts for anyone who wishes to purchase a new or used car

Fully paid over 50k for a new vehicle in stock and the vehicle was not Road worthy when due to be collected. A part was gone in the "New Vehicle" and needed to be replaced. The part was not in stock and is on back order and as I write this message I don't know when the vehicle will be ready for collection. Taggarts sold a new "In Stock" Vehicle and took payment without doing any quality checks on the vehicle. Very poor service and very poor communication throughout the transaction. Going by previous reviews, I expected alot better from Taggarts. Very poor service.

I recently purchased a new f-pace from Taggarts Jaguar Glasgow. From start to finish, Sam provided a five star experience. He was incredibly knowledgable and personable throughout every step of my purchasing process. I am absolutely delighted with my car and the service I received. I would highly recommend using this company and will definitely be a returning customer in the future.

I spent months begging my local Landrover dealership in Newcastle to let me buy a car from them and was treated appallingly. So when I connected with Philip Ling from the Motherwell Taggarts it was such a pleasant experience and he was outstanding from start to finish in terms of customer experience. I was absolutely delighted with everything and being able to buy a new car remotely and then have it delivered to my door was wonderful and I absolutely love my new car. I couldn't rate Philip or Taggarts any higher, absolutely outstanding five star service

Gavin Loftus very helpful and made buying a new car very easy. The showroom is small but they seem to stock or have access to a good number of cars. The paperwork of buying a new car is horrendous, particularly in lockdown where everything is sent to you (multiple times!) electronically, but the end result is worth it.

I'm not sure how you change a business name on here, but I'll have a go once this review is up. Please note that Shields Landrover at this address is now *Taggarts*. However, this does not mean that their customer service has slipped to the level of Taggarts in Motherwell. After several horrific experiences with multiple branches of Arnold Clark over the years (a business we won't even touch to get a spare windscreen wiper fitted in future, regardless a new car), we looked at Land Rover as an option and Shields as a dealer. Eye-opening. It's wonderful to discover in this day and monopolised age of car dealers that there is still at least one company out their that's not trying to rip you off and treat you like dirt the moment they have your cash (*cough*Arnold Clark*cough*).
The salesman we dealt with was obviously hugely happy to be working for Taggert (and has been with them since they were Shields) and was nothing but honest through all our dealings. We got the best trade-in for our previous vehicle that we'd been offered anywhere, a hefty discount on the car after haggling, and he went out of his way to ensure we got delivery on a day that suited us just before a long family trip. After-sales care has been a similar joy.
Not just "satisfactory", but "superb". Pleasant. Enjoyable. And full of nice surprises, like European breakdown cover included for life - as are MOTs. We honestly can't fault the buying experience or anything that's followed. Thanks you Taggarts (Glasgow) for restoring out faith in car retailers!

When Taggarts Landrover tried to insist I and my disabled son undertake a journey of 6 hours in order to take a landrover bought from them back because the lock on the filler cap had come out I spent two hours on the phone and was finally directed by Landrover to Shields. It was night and day, they were so helpful, I sent photos of the problem and they have promised to post out a new filler cap and we'll return the broken one by post. Thank goodness for some common sense and common humanity.
