After booking my car in for a simple filter and oil change, I was convinced I needed a brake fluid change too. I agreed this and asked for my courtesy car. I was booked in for a Friday and I would drop the courtesy car back in on Saturday. The grumpy services salesman said the receptionists don't like to check in courtesy cars, so therefore I can't have my courtesy car.
I thought, that's fine, I'll get a lift to work and then a lift back on the Saturday to pick up my car. A couple hours later I get a call from BMW saying they broke the bleeder valve on one of my brakes, they quote me 1100 for the fix and replacement part. Quite rightly I ask how much of this they will cover, and they said they wouldn't cover any costs to do with the damage.
After a long and unprofessional dispute with the service salesman, we agreed that I would fix the car myself and then they would supply me the replacement bleed nipple out of "goodwill" (they broke it, so not much goodwill here). When I received the car and started the work on it, I noticed the wheel lug nuts had been over torqued by 3x the recommended amount (again, not very professional and could be argued as incompetency and not "working with due care of the vehicle").
This problem has yet to be fixed and I expect a lot more from BMW. PS not a single sorry was said or a "we would like to help you as much as we can", just a lot of "well you're the one who should've done this, done that and pay us this". Absolutely stay away from this place.

Got my navigator problem fixed, thorough diagnosis and analytical approach. Most importantly to me, pleasant customer experience. My advisor answered to all my geeky questions and kept me posted as the work unfolded. He didn't shy from getting the best arrangement with BMW too. Perhaps, it was my best experience with Vines in the whole past four years!

We recently bought a (lovely) car from Vines of Guildford and could not be happier with the service we received. Fareed took care of us and from the moment we entered the dealership, he went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. He was extremely courteous and not at all pushy when it came to buying the car. He always explained everything thoroughly and definitely made our experience a positive one. We had a very good experience at Vines in Guildford. The welcome was fast and friendly on each occasion, a good range of well prepared cars and options and the financing was well explained by the very knowledgeable Thomas the business manager. Fareed provided us with a really good sales experience, helpful in talking us through the various vehicles and informative on each model, without being pushy.
He took time to listen to both my wife's and my requirements and was proactive in finding solutions. We have also been promised a personalised after sales service, which we look forward to befitting from in the future. Thank you!

Body shop was very helpful liaising with insurers to agree a claim after my X3 was hit by another driver. The paintwork on the new bumper is good but the rear light cluster did not align correctly and the workshop manager refused to accept there could be anything wrong. When I got home I found washers had been placed behind the brackets causing it to my misaligned. Once the washers were removed the light fitted as it should. An otherwise good experience was let down by sloppy quality control.

I had a 'waiting appointment' to tighten an exterior door handle (i3) which had come loose for the second time following replacement earlier of the interior door panel (fault was the chrome peeling off the interior door handle which was sharp). Whilst I was impeccably looked after in the dealership for the 3.5 hours of my day that it took, I was miffed to find that my car had been subject to a detailed safety check which I did not request and a wash and vac.
I wanted the door handle tightened only (and properly this time) and not hours of my time 'borrowed' for non-essential and irrelevant procedures - some of which are designed to generate workshop business.

Hi to all at Vines. What a great experience we have had buying our X1 from you. Fareed Osman has been extremely professional to deal with, nothing has been to much trouble for him, considering we live down in Cornwall. He kindly arranged for the car to be delivered to us and the driver Tim was so helpful with all aspects of the handover. A very excellent service and experience, from the courteous lady on reception who offerred me a coffee ( in proper china cup and saucer not a cheap paper cup), to the easy going sales man Lee who was both charming and made the whole sale a pleasure - not pressured in any way. The trade in deal was smooth, fair and the deal sealed and my as new car was all ready with the paint protection added precisely as promised on the Saturday for collection.
I know Vines Ltd for 20+ years in Redhill and i am delighted to say that Gulidford branch are upthere too - top quality family service, not a ghastly bulk sales mass dealership. If you want quality of service, time and respect you will struggle to get better. Graham Steer
